SDS Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 I just got an outrageous quote for a walk in front of the house. I always assumed $5-$8/sq. ft. for materials and $10-$20/sq. ft. installation cost. What prices are people paying in your area for brick pavers?
Nervous Guy Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 check this out... Project cost esitmator
mead107 Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 around here you can buy good pavers for 4 - 8 dollars and up, cheap ones for $1.75. then add the profit have to have stone dust and the labor . i have a friend that charges between 20 and 40 dollars depending on what it is for . that includes material. do it yourself and save , its not that hard . need good prep work .
Just Jack Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 It easy enough to do it yourself if you take the time to do it right. Check out the Hometime How To page about doing a patio. The concept is still the same to do a walk as it is a patio.
Hammered a Lot Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 Some products you might want to check out. I have seen the lighted bricks used as a edger on a driveway and sidewalk. They look nice. Every 5th brick was a lite one. They had a plastic cap on the top of the hole so no crap got inside. http://starstones.com Make sure you check out the dealer section and click on the crownhill company. They have a price list on pavers. From what I hear Crownhill is a quality company. I have one of the lighted Zodiac (Leo) garden stepping stones. Something to think about as a gift for the wife or youngin.
