Gene Frenkle Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Yes it was 3rd and 10. Terrible call followed by and easy TD to give the comeback away I blame Manuel. Obviously. EJ lost this game all by himself. That said, Jacksonville's so bad that we probably pull it out if not for this call.
D. L. Hot-Flamethrower Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Refs screwed the Jags on EJ's phantom roughing the passer call on 3rd down. Uh. Wrong!!
Pete Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Uh. Wrong!! don't mind them- they are just miserable
DriveFor1Outta5 Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Refs screwed the Jags on EJ's phantom roughing the passer call on 3rd down. They held the receiver on that play too, but the refs missed it.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 And on the very next play they missed a blatant hold against Hughes - that was the TD. But that's what the refs do, there should be a Geico commercial featuring the refs and the Bills, "If you're an NFL ref, you screw the Bills, that's just what you do." Saw that too. The back judge was terrible all game. Missed about like 10 holds on both teams. But that one was huge because it allowed bottles to escape to make that play.
Franco_92 Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Is there any way to get video of this, or are they all illegal?
bacarri and coke Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Worst call ever to affect an outcome to a game...I'm so pissed right now.
Acantha Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Saw that too. The back judge was terrible all game. Missed about like 10 holds on both teams. But that one was huge because it allowed bottles to escape to make that play. It was even worse because Hughes was waiving his arms around like crazy making it incredibly obvious to see the hold. Add the PI right before it, and it's just a mess. Between the Bills crapping the bed over and over on their own and the refs screwing them time after time, this season is making me sick.
PastaJoe Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 A bad team which leads the league in penalties doesn't get the benefit of the doubt.
Dan Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 And on the very next play they missed a blatant hold against Hughes - that was the TD. But that's what the refs do, there should be a Geico commercial featuring the refs and the Bills, "If you're an NFL ref, you screw the Bills, that's just what you do."Exactly... Put the 2 bad calls in a row, on a game winning drive... And you have the league once again deciding the outcome of a game... More than the players on the field. Yes, the Bills did plenty to lose that game and in many ways deserve this loss. But, they also did plenty to fight back into the game and get the lead. So, to those that say don't let it come down to one play... I say the Bills made plenty of plays but were once again screwed by the refs when it counted the most.
Acantha Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 A bad team which leads the league in penalties doesn't get the benefit of the doubt. Give me a break. You don't need a benefit of the doubt to get legal calls. Excuses the refs for failing at their jobs is nonsense.
Spiderweb Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 They hit Manuel in the haes. You are right. That was a valid call
Bocephuz Posted October 25, 2015 Author Posted October 25, 2015 (edited) That call doesn't happen we win period. Not making any sort of grand statement about rest of game or whether they deserved to win Edited October 25, 2015 by Bocephuz
disco Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Give me a break. You don't need a benefit of the doubt to get legal calls. Excuses the refs for failing at their jobs is nonsense. Exactly. Bills can blame themselves for this loss following a terrible first half. But refs still don't get a pass for failing to perform their job. That was a legit failure by that guy at a critical spot. I'm pretty sure it was the same guy that was calling it a turnover on the 3rd and 1 failed sneak at the end.
CodeMonkey Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 That call doesn't happen we win period. Not making any sort of grand statement about rest of game or whether they deserved to win If Manuel doesn't score 14 points for the Jags on 2 consecutive plays the Bills win, period.
Coach Tuesday Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 If Manuel doesn't score 14 points for the Jags on 2 consecutive plays the Bills win, period. SIR: the premise is that the officials shouldn't be deciding the outcome of the game - the players should.
26CornerBlitz Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 @mikerodak Bills CB Nickell Robey: "It was a terrible call." Says he asked official for explanation and official couldn't... http://espn.go.com/espn/now?nowId=21-0449984410612144842-4
4merper4mer Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Refs screwed the Jags on EJ's phantom roughing the passer call on 3rd down. Same hit on Brady results in jail time. Get over yourself.
EmotionallyUnstable Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 It's embarrassing how inconsistent these calls are.
Forward Progress Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Dear Roger, Please make penalties reviewable to get game-changing calls right, so we can talk about the plays that players make and not the mistakes that referees make that are deciding who wins and loses in the NFL. FP
