dave mcbride Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 I would think so, but that's just a hunch. He'll last through the season but will be out come new year. This season is over.
K D Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Yes blame Whaley. We had a good backup QB and good backup RB and he gave them away for next to nothing. Made no sense then and as you can see for yourself it makes even less sense now
apuszczalowski Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 I love this place, when Cassel was here everyone chased him away cause "He Sucks" and "We need to see what EJ can Do", "Ej needs to play, look at his preseason" Â Now everyone wants to blame the GM for dealing away the guy they affectionately called 'Meh'
LabattBlue Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 If Cassel plays decently, what does that say for all the posters who referred to him as "meh", and thought Manuel was the better option?

I was very opposed to the Cassel trade for the reasons that are now on full display. We entered garbage time with 8 minutes left in the second quarter, for chrissake.
GG Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 As I said in the other thread, Rex started EJ as a power move against Whaley. Even if TT is a little hobbled, he was healthy enough to practice. I don't see the logic of deactivating him for the game when Josh is the only backup option. Speak for others; don't speak for me. I was very opposed to the Cassel trade for the reasons that are now on full display. We entered garbage time with 8 minutes left in the second quarter, for chrissake. Absolutely, the trade was dubious at the time and looks far worse now. It was a stupid trade because Bills knew that TT had an injured ankle from training camp.
dave mcbride Posted October 25, 2015 Author Posted October 25, 2015 Worst. Thread. Ever. Why? Please explain.

GG Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Â I know it's a far fetched cynical thought, but I can't explain a rationale why Tyrod is inactive and not an emergency third QB. Â God,I hope not.
Johnny Hammersticks Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Why? Please explain. Because the whole notion of Whaley being fired for one window licker's poor performance is ridiculous. Step off the ledge and take some deep breaths.

Step off the ledge and take some deep breaths. Have you followed this team? The coaches appear not to have wanted him, and appeared to have preferred the other guy, who was traded for no discernible reason and for basically nothing. And Manuel is ABSOLUTELY Whaley's pick regardless of the fact that Nix was at the helm.
Reed83HOF Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 The Football Czar will be coming in and I would assume no one is "safe" when that happens

GG Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Body of work. His drafting and free agency record is pretty solid, no? All for naught if you don't nail the QB.
dave mcbride Posted October 25, 2015 Author Posted October 25, 2015 Body of work. His drafting and free agency record is pretty solid, no? For better or worse, the NFL is all about the QB position.
NoSaint Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Why? Please explain. Because it's a really stupid way to judge a trade.
GG Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Because it's a really stupid way to judge a trade. Do you think the coaching staff was on board with the trade?
mannc Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Body of work. His drafting and free agency record is pretty solid, no?No. Not at all.
