YoloinOhio Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Joe Buscaglia Verified account @JoeBuscaglia 1h1 hour ago Just saw kickoff specialist Jordan Gay walking into the #Bills hotel here at The Grove. I'd expect a roster move to be coming.
GunnerBill Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Good! Should never have cut him for Cundiff that was a boneheaded move.
Gray Beard Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Good idea. I never understood why they got rid of him. Carpenter is nursing an injury, so limit him to field goals and extra points. Don't abuse him with kickoffs. And that whole Cundiff thing seemed like some sort of ill conceived mind game.
8-8 Forever? Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 good. Gay in , cundiff out, move on. gotta play mind games with these guys. when they get comfortable, suck usually follows
K D Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Gay bashers, where are you now? I don't think the term "kickoff specialist" is politically correct. He's an "alternative lifestyle" kicker
YoloinOhio Posted October 23, 2015 Author Posted October 23, 2015 @SalSports: Kickoff specialist Jordan Gay will be signed and activated. Bills will release someone. No word on who it will be yet.
Bleed Bills Blue Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Didn't take long to expose some mediocrity on ST coverage...
K D Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Didn't take long to expose some mediocrity on ST coverage... Yea easy for coverage to look good with Gay kicking it out of the end zone. With Carpenter they were like oh crap we actually have to tackle somebody!
billsfan_34 Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Didn't take long to expose some mediocrity on ST coverage...[/quote Our ST has been so bad this year we cant get any worse thats for sure. The mixed extra points I wont factor in just about every team has missed one or two as they are not give me's anymore.
BuffaloMatt Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Nice to start on defense when it's not midfield. Once again Rex is realizing if it is not broken don't fix it.
billsfan_34 Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 (edited) Yea easy for coverage to look good with Gay kicking it out of the end zone. With Carpenter they were like oh crap we actually have to tackle somebody! And not hold or block in the back or personal fouls--dont forget those Edited October 23, 2015 by billsfan_34
Best Player Available Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Yea easy for coverage to look good with Gay kicking it out of the end zone. With Carpenter they were like oh crap we actually have to tackle somebody! I must have missed it. they were tackling people?
Dave in Avon Lake now Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 I wish we didn't have to have a kickoff specialist, but I'm happy to have him back. Let's hope Carpenter gets back to his old form on FGs and PATs.
ALLEN1QB Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Was boneheaded move to let him go but good to see that they are not afraid to admit they screwed up. Glad nobody signed him first. If I was Gay ( lol ) I would make the Bills pay double what I was making before.
Bleed Bills Blue Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 ...good to see that they are not afraid to admit they screwed up. Hope this willingness to correct bad decisions extends to other areas of the team.
Canadian Bills Fan Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 I don't think the term "kickoff specialist" is politically correct. He's an "alternative lifestyle" kicker Bahahahaha! CBF
YoloinOhio Posted October 23, 2015 Author Posted October 23, 2015 This tells me they think they need every ounce of help they can get
Fadingpain Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 There is going to be a lot more appreciation of Gay now that we have seen the alternative. Gay bashers, where are you now? Sounds like you have seen the alternative and are now officially a Gay man.
WotAGuy Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 It seems like there are a few things the team's management/coaching staff are over-thinking. In this case, they must have seen that Adam Jones was "this close" to taking one to the house last week, and decided to go back to the original plan - limit returns entirely. If successful, it's worth a roster spot - especially since the last roster spot is going to otherwise be held by not only someone "off the street", but someone 'living in a van down by the river'.
