Reserve Judgment Till After The Bye Week

I, like many here, have been disappointed with the team this year especially on defense. I know we are 3 and 3 and have lost to some good teams, but it's the defense especially that has made me the most frustrated. The offense, though looking efficient at times, hasn't been that consistent either. The reason I say wait till after the bye week before getting the torches and pitch forks is because coming out of the bye we should be the most healthy we have been all year. McCoy should be pretty much 100, Tyrod, Karlos Williams, Sammy should be close, Kyle should be coming back or at least close, as should McKelvin. We should finally have all our guys, guys that we expected to be, on the field minus AW. The schedule gets a little better in the 2nd half and with pretty much the full compliment it will be put up or shut up time. If we come out and lay an egg against the Phish we're :censored: , destined for another year of mediocrity. But if we win this week against Jax and get a W against the Phish, the rest of the season could be what we have all been looking forward to. Get your :censored: together Rex and cut loose this defense.

welcome to my ignore list.

meh. if, if, if, if, if. the bills hired a dopey coach and have a roster full of delicate flowers. if they win 3 more this season, we should all consider it a success.

Oh, please, not that! let me try again... THE BILLS WONT LOSE AGAIN THIS YEAR BECAUSE THEY ARE OUR TEAM AND HAVE SO MUCH TALENT THAT OTEHR TEAMS SHOULD JUST PANIC AND FORFEIT THE GAMES

At that point, more than anything else, we need Taylor and Karlos Williams back at full speed. McCoy should not have to handle the running load and teams will be primed for him to do so unless we have a viable option. If there are still problems at WR, give Easley a shot. He played well in the preseason.

The Bills success this year was mostly predicated on the Defense. Fix that and we're fine. I mean, Rex is saying the right things (my defense isn't working, blah blah blah) but can a tiger change it's stripes?

I think most on here are willing to wait and see what happens until the team can get healthier after the bye.

That is, unless they lose to the Jags this weekend, then it's going to be torches and pitchforks.

i want everyone back healthy after the bye so there will be no excuses. it's easy to say that we have injuries or we have played a lot of good teams. what will be our excuse after the bye and we only play lousy teams? i want to see this defense lead the league in sacks. it should be a given with the amount of talent we have on that line. i want McCoy to AVERAGE 100 yards on the ground per game. we are paying through the nose for him and he's not producing. Watkins should have well over 1,000 yards receiving otherwise why the heck did we move up to draft him? i don't think these things are a lot to ask for.

too many excuses and not enough production

If a large man with an axe crashes through your door, do you reserve judgment to his intentions while you look around to see if somehow or other a tree has suddenly begun growing through your living room floor? Or do you do what I would, which is to scream like a little girl and run out the back?

Tell you what I will do: I will not start screaming until after Sunday's game. If I see real changes to the defensive philosophy, I will relax and hope for the best for the rest of the season. If, on the other hand, and in spite of Rexie's public statements about "hearing" his lineman's criticisms, the defense gives us more of the same old same old, then I will declare that his honeymoon is officially over and will call for his firing. Fair enough?
