dave mcbride
Probably too early to tell...But it's not like it's looking good either... From the looks of it, this is likely a salary claw-back war. Given the Carucci report about retirement -- and factor in that Vic is in the UK and could ONLY have heard about it from the team -- and Harvin's response, it seems to me that the opponents are currently staking out their respective positions. The upshot for the team from a football perspective is that Harvin is likely done here.
The Adam
for a short term fill in why not. I'm in. Its not like he's the feature of the offense or the future. Give him the minimum, and if he gets knocked the f out, so what? Move on to the next guy.
K D
Harvin is making a lot of money to sit at home contemplating his future. I need to get one of those jobs where you make millions of dollars for doing nothing
NoSaint
Probably too early to tell...But it's not like it's looking good either... to be fair, prior to 4 hours ago, it wasnt looking bad publicly either. and even now theres some dispute over that fact. seems early to chalk him up as done forever, even if thats possible. Assuming the Bills organization is the source regarding the retirement talk (and that certainly seems like the most likely possibility) and Harvin's subsequent denial, then you know it's about money. What usually happens next is the divorce settlement.

They both got a nice payday and neither really seems to want to play anymore. Bowe clearly does not give the slightest crap anymore. Harvin looks to be heading that way too. Pete
WR has become a draft need now. Funny I thought we were so deep at RB and WR- but injuries have decimated us and both are now needs

PromoTheRobot
This is a great opportunity for Marcus Easley. The kid was drafted because he's a tall receiver and a good end zone target. Maybe he gets his shot now?

Buffalo Barbarian
Trade deadline approaching quickly... Who would you (realistically) try to trade for and what would you give up? nope, rather get a franchise QB
QuoteTheRaven83
Trading for a WR at this stage of the season is the biggest waste. Having to learn a new offense with a new QB will take more than 2 or 3 weeks to get acclimated to everything. By then it's week 9 or 10 and the season's more than halfway over. I would much rather pick up a WR that's familiar with this offense that was here from day 1. Won't be as flashy as Steve Smith, but it would be less costly. Trading away a draft pick for less than half a season of use is the biggest waste.

sjjr
This is a great opportunity for guys like Robert Woods and Chris Hogan. Maybe Easley can catch some balls. The big thing they may need is speed to stretch the field. They must think Moore can do that. He did it in Oakland for a while. We'll see Sunday. 8-8 Forever?
I'm ok with Watkins, Clay, Woods and white chocolate Hogan. Plus watch out for Denarius Moore. Rememeber we need to pay bradham, gilmore, and a couple others at year end. We ditched Cassel and kept EJ partly to save cap space. Now we're going to throw a ton of cap space at a WR? Not happening. Fans need to realize there is a salary cap Whaley needs to manage to, and he is probably getting close to the cap with Dareus' signing, with more big contracts to deal out still. Look for Mario to be released at year end unless he renegotiates AND Rex changes his defense. not sure either one of those are happening.
....lybob
At 6,1 225 maybe Karlos Williams would be better off as a WR in the Anquan Boldin mode - a little less wear on the noggin
