That became a factor in the case of Michelle-Lael Norsworthy, who was released from prison in August just one day before a federal appeals court was to hear her request for the state prison system to pay for her sex reassignment surgery. The corrections department also announced in August that it would pay for the surgery for Shiloh Heavenly Quine, who is serving a life sentence for a Los Angeles County murder. She has not yet had the surgery. A federal judge in Sacramento is considering the case of inmate Mia Rosati, after the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in June that the state may be violating her rights by denying her sex reassignment surgery. She also is serving a life sentence for a murder in Los Angeles County.
unbillievable Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 Will they move her to a male prison after the surgery? Wasn't prison supposed to be a punishment? Not since they started calling it "rehab."
/dev/null Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 (edited) We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men persons of whatever gender they self identify as are created equal (with additional equality bestowed upon favored demographics), that they are endowed by their Creator Governing Authority with certain unalienable Rights (until such time as those rights are deemed politically incorrect), that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness Wifi, Food Stamps, and sex change operations Edited October 22, 2015 by /dev/null

Azalin Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 You make it sound so personal, bringing a hole new light to the procedure. I see what you did there.
