26CornerBlitz Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 http://www.dummies.c...our-iphone.html To see the URL for a link, press your finger against the link and keep it there. This is also a way to determine whether a picture has a link. Not every Web link will cooperate with the iPhone. As of this writing, the iPhone didn’t support some common Web standards, notably Adobe Flash video and Java. If you come upon an incompatible link, nothing may happen or a message will be displayed about having to install a plug-in.

I usually am on the laptop but it is nice to know I have alternative method.
Nanker Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Some people post from their iPhones and include an emoticon or two or three or more. Those display on a desktop/laptop/Univac as a generic gif icon. They're not the same as the emoticons that are available on this board. When I post and want to use one of those, I'll roll my own with the code bracketed by colons.
WotAGuy Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 When a link doesn't work, if you press over the link until a pop up menu comes up, select "open in new tab" and the link should work.

I don't believe I've ever clicked a link on my iPhone that didn't open right up. But the smileys, they're another thing.
