Dorkington Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 ****, I wish this was in the main forum, didn't see this until now... my best wishes are heading his way!
The Poojer Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 for some of us, this IS the main forum...the other ones can get downright scary sometimes. Glad to hear Bill is feeling 'better'. ****, I wish this was in the main forum, didn't see this until now... my best wishes are heading his way!
Saxum Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Make sure he follows the recommendation of the nurses and doctor; visit him regularly and keep the internet away from him. Hope he gets well soon.
LewPort71 Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Prayers for Bill and family. Good to hear he is making progress.
outsidethebox Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Thank you for your kind words. He is stable right now. Tired but very lucid. He can speak without slurring and can move. I mentioned that people recommended he not watch the game and he rolled his eyes and agreed. I mentioned the Grateful dead and he sang a few lines. He is definitely himself! So glad to hear this!!!Can't wait until he is back to posting. Your dads one of my favorite posters.
TakeYouToTasker Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Amanda: Thank you for sharing this news with us. Your father is an important and valued member of this community, and I wish him a speedy recovery. Bill and the rest of your family will be in my prayers. God bless.
Flutie Flakes Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Amanda - I just read this and would like to extend my thoughts and prayers to your father. I enjoy his posts very much and this site would not be the same without him! It sounds like he is making good progress, which is wonderful to hear. All of our best to your dad!
plenzmd1 Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 All the best Bill and family, my thoughts are with you! Great to hear he is doing better form post 1 to now!
USMCBillsFan Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Prayers for a speedy and full recovery. Send him my best!
rockpile Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Saying a prayer for your father and your family. I have a close friend who had a stroke in his mid-forties. It is now a bit over twenty years later and he is doing well. He will be 67 on Thanksgiving Day. My friend was with me this year on opening day in Orchard Park. We laugh at each other since his gait is a bit slower after the stroke, and I am no ballerina with my MS, but we both went to the game with seats in the upper deck. Tell Bill that Rockpile says "hello".
Deranged Rhino Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Thoughts and prayers are with Bill and his family. This place wouldn't be the same without him around. Here's to a speedy and full recovery.
Cugalabanza Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Glad to hear that Bill is alert. He's definitely a good guy and one of the pillars of this place.
MDH Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Really sorry to hear about this. Hope he gets better quickly. Give him our best. Btw, this should be pinned on the main board. I'm sure there are lots that would like to wish him well who don't come to "off the wall" often or at all.
Belle_of_the_Bills Posted October 16, 2015 Author Posted October 16, 2015 Yeah, I only saw football posts on the main wall so I didn't want to put it in the wrong place! Echocardiogram was very good considering everything, and I will update when we know more about long term prognosis. So far everything that can be positive has been so.
billsfanmiami(oh) Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Get well soon Bill in NYC! Pretty sure I can speak for many when I say that I greatly enjoy his weekly 10 thoughts posts. Sending prayers his way!
