vincec Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I don't buy that Sammy was speaking flippantly here. There was some premeditation in these words. Absolutely. He even discussed this with his agent before he spoke to the media about it.
YoloinOhio Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Oh wow - Sammy not happy with mr. Dunne @sammywatkins: @TyDunne Wish you could have added the part we have so many playmakers and me not caring about numbers I care about winning.. Grow up.. Sir.
LeGOATski Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I said freely not flippantly Absolutely. He even discussed this with his agent before he spoke to the media about it. He said freely, not flippantly.
YoloinOhio Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 @TyDunne: @sammywatkins Believe that was written. From the story: The difference here is that Watkins vows his call for the ball is team-centric.
FireChan Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I said freely not flippantly Well then, if he had time to think about what to say, maybe he could've thought about the right things to say.

Augie Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 This has reached my Cincinnati based college basketball crowd. (NO, NOT UC!) This was better kept in the locker room, especially since he's not even on the field.
LeGOATski Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Well then, if he had time to think about what to say, maybe he could've thought about the right things to say. what is "right?"
FireChan Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 (edited) what is "right?" Obviously Sammy feels like he was mischaracterized, ask him. Also, "right" in this case, for me, is what causes less perceived strife in the locker room, as well as keeping positive about the team. Edited October 15, 2015 by FireChan
LeGOATski Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 especially since he's not even on the field. Obviously Sammy feels like he was mischaracterized, ask him. You ask him. I'm letting it slide for the sake of football.
YoloinOhio Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I haven't seen an athlete go after a member of the local media like that before. He clearly left out some stuff to form the narrative he wanted. Go Samuel.
FireChan Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 You ask him. I'm letting it slide for the sake of football. "Wish you could have added the part we have so many playmakers and me not caring about numbers I care about winning.. Grow up.. Sir." Sounds like exactly what I said. Sammy knows.
billsfan_34 Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Good for him. He said nothing wrong. Now he needs to say I can play through a few injuries---lord knows I did so im not being a hypocrit
26CornerBlitz Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Every WR has at least a little bit of Prima Donna in him. Give him the Ball!
vincec Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Obviously Sammy feels like he was mischaracterized, ask him. Also, "right" in this case, for me, is what causes less perceived strife in the locker room, as well as keeping positive about the team. So, he goes to the press to make his case and then complains that they mischaracterized him? Come on. If he cared what his team thought in the first place he wouldn't be talking to the press about his team mates faults.
billsfan_34 Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 This is the cocky attitude I've heard from people who have seen/met him out in Buffalo. The same guy after he was hurt in Miami joking on the sidelines
YoloinOhio Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Now he needs to say I can play through a few injuries---lord knows I did so im not being a hypocrithe played through injury all last year and has said for 2 weeks he wants to play through the calf but the doctors need to clear him.
Reks Ryan Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Damn. Big talk from Mr. Fragile Good for him. He said nothing wrong. "And that’s what I addressed in talking with my agent. We reached out to a couple people and tried to pull some strings" Even if the points are valid, talk to your coaches and QB. You really need your agent to pull strings for what happens on the field?
LeGOATski Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Now he needs to say I can play through a few injuries---lord knows I did so im not being a hypocrit You know he's played through injuries, right? he played through injury all last year and has said for 2 weeks he wants to play through the calf but the doctors need to clear him. some Bills fans clearly don't follow the Bills. It's odd.
YoloinOhio Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 (edited) The same guy after he was hurt in Miami joking on the sidelinesseriously - his team is knocking the crap out of a division rival and he's not allowed to crack a smile with his teammates? Edited October 15, 2015 by YoloinOhio
