dave mcbride Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 (edited) Say more, Badol. I don't remember this. Talented player, though hot-headed. Sad for him if he can't continue the game he plays with such passion but he needs to look after HIM Here you go: http://www.syracuse.com/buffalo-bills/index.ssf/2014/10/buffalo_bills_week_8_injury_report_aaron_williams_neck_listed_as_questionable.html http://www.buffalorumblings.com/buffalo-bills-news/2014/10/24/7059747/bills-vs-jets-2014-nfl-week-8-injury-report-aaron-williams He re-injured it in the Vikings game last year. I don't know when he first injured it, but it's clear that this has been a longstanding problem and hasn't gone away. It might be wise for him to consider retirement. BillsVet Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 One has to bear in mind this hasn't been a contending team for a long time. When players feel they have a chance to be a part of something big, they tend to push themselves. As a "players coach", Rex Ryan has the reputation that players try to run through a brick wall for him, including playing with serious injuries. When a team hasn't contended for so long, their decisions, even athletic training ones, will be more heavily scrutinized. There's too much competition in the NFL for stuff like this, if true, to go wrong and expect the team to win. It doesn't look good that two highly paid players returned only to have the same or similar injuries that prevented or hindered them from playing previously.

Yeah this is an important point......winning changes player perspective a lot. I think players in winning organizations often play thru more discomfort and extend their careers longer to be part of a good thing. A good example of the opposite is Aaron Schobel calling it a career 2-3 years early rather than muddle around losing in Buffalo. Part of the vicious circle of losing.
YoloinOhio Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 (edited) Those rogue Bills docs are at it again! @BobHoltzmanESPN: Sources: EJ Manuel expected to start for @buffalobills tomorrow vs Bengals. Tyrod Taylor (knee) tried to convince coaches, but not ready. @ChrisTrapasso: With #Bills doctors apparently still deeming Tyrod's knee a concern, starting EJ Manuel is the smart thing for Buffalo to do. billsfan89 Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 It could be true, it could not be. One thing is for sure unless he claims to have sources inside the Bills traning staff he is simply doing guess work. Seems like they have been pretty cautious with McCoy and Watkins. A.Williams is the only one you could second guess on the surface but then again who knew the extent of the injury. It just reeks of speculation.
mead107 Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Someone said that the medical team on the Bills is one of the best.
