Chef Jim Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 They were invited to the event because the issue is enormously important to them. Ok, if it is, video it, post it online and let them watch it on their time not mine.
KD in CA Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 Or as the NY Times reported it: "Hundreds pack auditorium to hear Governor deliver critical Global Warming Climate ChangeTM address."
drinkTHEkoolaid Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 Nothing like paying state employees to fill the auditorm. This is ridiculous fraud waste and abuse of government resources
Azalin Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 Oh, come on you guys. It's not like New York state has any serious issues to address. Besides, with the tax burden being as low as it is in NY, there's no shame in diverting surplus dollars to fund activities like this.
unbillievable Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 So only 4 guys will get to watch the one guy digging a hole instead of 5.
/dev/null Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 So only 4 guys will get to watch the one guy digging a hole instead of 5. As Lefts refer to it: Draconian Budget Cuts
Chef Jim Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 As Lefts refer to it: Draconian Budget Cuts No a left considers only increasing the number of workers from 5 to 6 instead of from 5 to 8 as a draconian budget cut.
Azalin Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 No a left considers only increasing the number of workers from 5 to 6 instead of from 5 to 8 as a draconian budget cut. You've spent too much time in California - you understand their mindset perfectly.
Chef Jim Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 You've spent too much time in California - you understand their mindset perfectly. Yes. Only in their mind is a smaller increase than planned a cut. And not any kind of cut but an hysterical we're all going to die cut.
DC Tom Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Yes. Only in their mind is a smaller increase than planned a cut. And not any kind of cut but an hysterical we're all going to die cut. There was a time, not too long ago, that I would have corrected the grammatical mess of that last sentence. But as we've had it recently explained that lexicon as a measure of reasoning over syntax and morphology is favored, this opportunity I'll eschew.
frostbitmic Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Thank God the people are smart enough to vote straight Republican.
Nanker Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 There was a time, not too long ago, that I would have corrected the grammatical mess of that last sentence. But as we've had it recently explained that lexicon as a measure of reasoning over syntax and morphology is favored, this opportunity I'll eschew. Good. You're probably just one or two readings of the classics away from birdbrain allowing you to be in the same room with him, and breathe the rarefied air he breathes.
3rdnlng Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Good. You're probably just one or two readings of the classics away from birdbrain allowing you to be in the same room with him, and breathe the rarefied air he breathes. If only Birdbrain could capitalize on his shortcomings.
