Augie Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 Who would have predicted that Matt Cassel and EJ Manuel would both be starting QBs in Week 6? The grandmother from accounting who picked the NCAA tourney based on how friendly the team mascots seemed? And won.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 @SalSports The plan, right now, is to wait to see how Taylor responds to rehab/treatment before knowing his status later in the week. I hope EJ is getting all the first team reps, at least.
Kelly the Dog Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 I hope EJ is getting all the first team reps, at least. Your wish is granted! There is no way he is moving on his foot and knee and getting reps right now!
Jobu Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 NFL Total Access just flat out said that EJ is starting. Had it on the ticker too.
The Wiz Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 I hope EJ is getting all the first team reps, at least. I doubt they are having TT stand in the back field with a boot/cast/whatever on his leg while EJ runs the scout team.
Buffalo Barbarian Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 @MikeGarafolo: Bills sign QB Josh Johnson, team announced. Tyrod Taylor is hurting. EJ Manuel might very well start Sunday. http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/report-ej-manuel-could-start-sunday-for-tyrod-taylor-101315 http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-football/25338162/report-tyrod-taylor-is-hurt-pretty-bad-bills-sign-josh-Johnson EJ sure can generate controversy
billsfan714 Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 EJ has to go into this game with a gunslinger mentality. He said he not holding back in his next opportunity and he shouldn't. Go deep, use your legs, you're not Peyton Manning back there. You can move, you have the arm. Your preseason number were very good....shut up the coaches that doubted you. .Next man up and now is your time to shine.
Magox Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 Yes there was. You're choosing not to buy the fact that TT and EJ are similar QB's and that those magic beans are/were more valuable than 1.) Cassel on the PS or 2.) having to completely adjust the game plan if Cassel is still your backup and has to come in to relieve TT. I choose not to believe based on what I've seen that EJ is not as good as Tyrod. Having said that I hope he proves me wrong Sunday.
L.EvansHands Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 According to Rex on Sirius NFL, he would NOT rule Tyrod out for Sunday. Said - the Kid is tough and has heart and despite the wide reporting, he wouldn't rule him out.
Bookie Man Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 I think he'll go against Cincy. In his post game presser, he was asked how he's feeling and if he was banged up. He had a little smile and said he's fine. He didn't seem concerned, it seemed more like "yeah, I'm sore, but I'll be alright." That's just how I read it.
Wayne Cubed Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter Rex Ryan just said on @SiriusXMNFL that he "definitely would not rule out Tyrod Taylor this week."
MarkAF43 Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter Rex Ryan just said on @SiriusXMNFL that he "definitely would not rule out Tyrod Taylor this week." Now I think we've officially entered the game playing phase. Now Cincy has no idea who to truly prep for.

I can see him Leaving it all on the field.
YoloinOhio Posted October 14, 2015 Author Posted October 14, 2015 Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter Rex Ryan just said on @SiriusXMNFL that he "definitely would not rule out Tyrod Taylor this week." this has been RTd by about every national media member now. <3 Rex. Keep em guessing.
BringBackFergy Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 Honestly, I'm ok with either TT or EJ starting. Just win baby. Offensive line needs to protect.
papazoid Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 a 100% EJ is better than a 75% TT. i'm no EJ fan until he proves he is better than mediocre. but i'm cheering for EJ to prove his detractors (me included) wrong. i'm very curious to see his development. i'm a big TT fan, but a QB who makes magic with his legs, needs to be healthy, don't force it. if it was me, i'd wait for TT til Miami game.

Nanker Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 That might offend some "fans". Be careful! True. There would be a smaller mob of disgruntled "fans" that would voice their discontent at something, but they would be here. EJ sure can generate controversy and how! this is crazy time! It certainly is. Go Bills!
LB3 Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 If EJ does play, I think we'll see a lot more throws to the middle of the field.
