machine gun kelly Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Cassel would have been the difference today. Look at the stats. We could have beaten them. Just sad. I've been a Whaley fan, but this one cost all of us.
26CornerBlitz Posted October 25, 2015 Author Posted October 25, 2015 EJ for the most part stunk today. But Cassel is certainly no better because of the weak arm and propensity for INTs. Just like that!
jeffismagic Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 And another slow duck into the wind, INT Cassel.
Deranged Rhino Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 You can sit on a Cassel throw on an out pattern because the's no threat to go deep. Prescient.
26CornerBlitz Posted October 25, 2015 Author Posted October 25, 2015 lol, was that a hail mary? What a lollipop throw!
CSBill Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Just be glad Matt Cassel is not our QB . . . ask Cowboys fans about right now = 2 terrible picks
Nihilarian Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 EJ for the most part stunk today. But Cassel is certainly no better because of the weak arm and propensity for INTs. Just like that! Talk a weak arm, see that floater another pick for old Matt
Deranged Rhino Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 (edited) That pick 6 was on the lazy WR, not Cassel. That second pick was all on Meh. Edited October 25, 2015 by GreggyT
jeffismagic Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Cassel thowing the Cowboys under the bus. And he is playing behind a great offensive line with much better passing weapons.
plenzmd1 Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 great punt! Ole wiley Matt Cassell knew what he was doing there.
Formerly Allan in MD Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Why is everyone assuming that getting rid of Cassel was strictly Whaley's call? Yes, he's the GM but they frequently are influenced heavily by the preferences of the head coach and at times the owner (D. Snyder). Whoever made the decision made a mistake at the time, which a number of us said. And whoever said EJ could be an effective NFL quarterback were clearly mistaken, which a number of us also said at the time.
26CornerBlitz Posted October 25, 2015 Author Posted October 25, 2015 @AroundTheNFL Troy Aikman can’t absolve Cassel of blame for THAT interception. It was quacking as soon as it left his hand.
jeffismagic Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Whatever Cassel does in this game is irrelevant. His last few years in the NFL he has shown nothing. He and EJ are pretty much the same level. Cassel probably has a slightly higher floor, EJ was younger with assumed more upside. They both are terrible. How about this? Name the backup QB's that won for their team today.

The Frankish Reich Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 OK, I changed my mind. There's not a damn bit of difference between the suckitude of EJ and Cassel.
