BringBackFergy Posted October 12, 2015 Author Posted October 12, 2015 http://www.nflpenalties.com/penalty/offside-on-free-kick?year=2014 22 times last year in the league bills called for it once. /troll thread Nice research. Thanks. I was wrong and admit it.
dbmu1977 Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 The penalty sucked because it would set the Bills up with the ball on the Titans 2 yard line with the 1st play of the game. Very costly off sides by Easely. A touchdown there would have changed the game.
Gugny Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Nice research. Thanks. I was wrong and admit it. Go troll somewhere else, homer troll boy.
Observer Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Posted this elsewhere but---- Tasker specifically said the rule is that if your foot touches over the line before the kick you are offsides- they ran the replay- froze the frame showing his leg ahead of the line- when they resumed the clip his foot then hit - after the kick- if Tasker is right, he was not offsides. As an aside, what bug does Tasker have up his hiney about the Bills? On the replay, Tasker circled the wrong guy. Watch Easley at the bottom of the screen and his foot is over the line and down. Foot has to actually touch turf off sides to be off sides by rule. Didn't happen. Can cross the plane as long as the ball is kicked before foot actually touches turf over the line. Refs retaliating for Bills players mouthing off in previous game? See above. Tasker called attention to the wrong player on the replay. Easley's foot was down over the line. He was 6 feet from the side judge.
Lurker Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Tasker called attention to the wrong player on the replay. Not only that, but his interpretation of the rule was wrong... http://uaasnfl.blob.core.windows.net/live/1807/2015_nfl_rule_book_final.pdf
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 No you are not wrong!! I think that you are a whiny little baby because you are harping on a correctly called penalty and I'll believe you are a whiny little baby until someone proves me wrong. Still true through!! Nice research. Thanks. I was wrong and admit it.
NoSaint Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Not only that, but his interpretation of the rule was wrong... http://uaasnfl.blob.core.windows.net/live/1807/2015_nfl_rule_book_final.pdf Yea - the closest I found was an article that said "normally not called unless a full step across." Might've been a rule of thumb he was once taught.
