That's no knock against his improvised scrambles, but the coaching staff baffles me by not calling more designed QB sweeps. The QB counter sweep that Mariota ran today for 30+ yards is something you see Seattle run almost every single game. It is a very high percentage play, and ought to be used like a screen — we should be seeing it at least once a game, especially in big third down situations. I'd much rather see called QB counter sweep type plays than any more of these mickey mouse reverse plays. Don't outthink yourself, Greg Roman.
