FireChan Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Ian Rapoport @RapSheet 2m2 minutes ago Rough week for #Bills DE Jerry Hughes: Fined $8,681 for unnecessary roughness (headbutt). Later, fined $23,152 for abusive language to a ref
YoloinOhio Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 (edited) This is a good thing. Hit him where it hurts. The team can't fine him, and I sure as heck don't want him benched. He needs to reign it in as a repeat offender. Edited October 9, 2015 by YoloinOhio
YoloinOhio Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 that's under the sofa cushion money to him it is better than nothing, especially since the fines increase if continue the behavior. Could be a deterrent.
What a Tuel Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 45,000,000 - 32,000 = whatever They care. It is their money, and even if you think it is a lot of money, they aren't going to just happily give it away.
uticaclub Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Those ref deserved the abusive language. !@#$ them, cost us 4 TDs, 2 bull **** calls prevented 2 of our scores, 2 missed called gave them 2 scores. I'd tell him to !@#$ off too.
WhitewalkerInPhilly Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 I'm finding it hilarious that Giants fans who are crying about fining OBJ, and lamenting that you can't play physical anymore are the ones crowing about Hughes getting fined double.
PromoTheRobot Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 If I'm Jerry I take Goodell to court and argue he didn't know he'd be fined for this.
Doc Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Hopefully that money goes towards finding refs who aren't imcompetent. I'm finding it hilarious that Giants fans who are crying about fining OBJ, and lamenting that you can't play physical anymore are the ones crowing about Hughes getting fined double. LOL! They're actually saying that throwing punches is "playing physical"?

Wow, I never minded the Giants but reading their reactions to this whole thing is really off putting. The NYC area has always had a superiority complex going on though.
BillsFanMike Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Im with Jerry on this one. I was cussing out the "refs" all day long.
yungmack Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 This tells you all you need to know about the league's priorities: hitting a guy in the head, which could have tremendous negative results is 1/3 the "price" of cursing out an official. The suits in NYC are plain nuts.
WhitewalkerInPhilly Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Hopefully that money goes towards finding refs who aren't imcompetent. LOL! They're actually saying that throwing punches is "playing physical"? Yeah. They also asked when the fines were coming in on the Bills.
K-9 Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Sit his immature ass down. I doubt the fine will even register with him. GO BILLS!!!
Bad Things Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 I wonder how come up with those numbers. $23,152 and $8,681?? Ian Rapoport @RapSheet 2m2 minutes ago Rough week for #Bills DE Jerry Hughes: Fined $8,681 for unnecessary roughness (headbutt). Later, fined $23,152 for abusive language to a ref

stevestojan Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 One of these days, the NFL is going to fine me A LOT of money for this if they ever catch me screaming at the refs. NSA and the NFL come to terms and I'm going to have to file bankruptcy.
