RyanC883 Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Moore is a good get. Averaged like 5TD's his first three years in an awful Raiders offense. Prob goes out wide with Woods and Harvin. When Watkins returns Watkins, Harvin, Woods, and Moore will be nice.
Fixxxer Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 I don't understand the Gay release and the Cundiff signing. Cundiff is more inconsistent than Carpenter and Gay could get better.
Buffalo Barbarian Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 @ChrisBrownBills The #Bills sign K Cundiff & WR Denarius Moore. Release K Gay & PR Thigpen. More at http://Buffalobills.com great now we still have two kickers, one of these guys needs to be the guy and the other goes. punts punt catcher?
BobbyC81 Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Thank God Thigpen is off this team. If I saw one more fair catch with nobody within 10 yards of him....ugh And at the 5 yard line.
Formerly Allan in MD Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 oh hell yeah. If they feel Cundiff can do both, he's gone. As far as Thigpen, it seemed like all he would do this year is dance around looking for an opening and get tackled with minimal gain, rather than head straight down field trying to hit a seam. You'd dance around as well if you had so few blockers. Writing on the wall for Carpenter? Not necessarily. This will give him a chance to get healthy.
26CornerBlitz Posted October 7, 2015 Author Posted October 7, 2015 @JonTWCNews Billy Cundiff says he's been brought to #Bills for kick-offs. Earlier Rex praised Jordan Gay for his KO ability. Something doesn't add up
eball Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 I haven't paid a whole lot of attention to this thread, so what's the conclusion -- Crossman a terrible coach again? Just trying to keep up.
26CornerBlitz Posted October 7, 2015 Author Posted October 7, 2015 @JonTWCNews Dan Carpenter says he's been told nothing has changed in regards to his roll with team. #Bills
Formerly Allan in MD Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 I don't understand the Gay release and the Cundiff signing. Cundiff is more inconsistent than Carpenter and Gay could get better. Gay was only around to kick the ball deep or out of the end zone. He was erratic in that regard. Cundiff will give Carpenter a chance to get healthy.
Direhard Fan Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Won't miss Thigpen. How many catches inside the 10-20 did he make. High school players know better. Carpenter was great until he got hurt. Let us but blame where it belongs Rex! You have lost control and these changes don't cover up our real problems. McCoy snowed us. Had all this PR bull and here we are 2 and 2. I really am not surprised at all. McCoy, Watkins, Harty, Woods and the 200m D line were going to bring us wins. Hasn't happened. Nice truck Rex.

Something doesn't add up I have to believe Cundiff is main kickoff guy, and backup place kicker, if Carpenter proves to be unreliable/hurt. Maybe they could sit Dan for a game or two, or something. Not sure... I mean, was Gay really that bad of a kicker? Cundiff kinda sucks... O.o Won't miss Thigpen. How many catches inside the 10-20 did he make. High school players know better. He caught multiple punts inside the 10, I was really confused and kinda angry about it.

Peter Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 As I mentioned earlier, I love Rex, but I do not understand the way he is treating DC. Kickers are like goalies and pitchers. Playing head games with them is more likely to be counter productive.
26CornerBlitz Posted October 7, 2015 Author Posted October 7, 2015 Ryan raises the ante on Bills kicker position The signing of veteran K Billy Cundiff cost kickoff specialist Jordan Gay his job, but his presence on Buffalo's roster likely goes further than that. Dan Carpenter: "I Have to Make Kicks" (4:35)The Bills kicker talks about how he prepares throughout the week, and how that preparation will bring a level of consistency for this weekend's game.
SageAgainstTheMachine Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 As I mentioned earlier, I love Rex, but I do not understand the way he is treating DC. Kickers are like goalies and pitchers. Playing head games with them is more likely to be counter productive. There's also the fact that you can't read into short-term data for kicking. It's notoriously unreliable, especially because kicks are (pretty much) discrete and independent events. Imagine if a baseball team replaced a solid veteran because of a couple bad strikeouts.
IronyAbounds Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Ryan's treatment of Carpenter is puzzling and contemptible. If Cundiff has been brought in for kick-offs and as relief for a couple of weeks to give Carpenter a chance to heal, that's great, but then Ryan should just stop his subtle digs at DC. If they think Cundiff is better than Carpenter, even the 2015 so far Carpenter, this FO is simply delusional. As for Moore, two things: (1) bringing him could be simply a case of disillusionment with Thigpen, or it could be a sign that Sammy's injury is worse than has been disclosed, (2) the low percentage of catchable throws his way suggests that he is not a good route-runner and he is ending up somewhere other than where he was supposed to be.
Beerbelly Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 thigpen hasn't done squat. Well, there it is. I was at the game Sunday, and I said WHY is this guy still on the team?
Freddie's Dead Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Carp >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Cundiff (not sure I put enough > signs there). If the Bills cut Carp for this stiff, Yeezus.
