MDH Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 So if he made the 30 yarder and missed the 51yarder his job would be secure still? I didn't see anything about cutting Gay so the Bills currently have 3 kickers (4 counting Schmitt) on the team?
Maury Ballstein Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Love Denarius Moore. Big time deep threat. Hope he's healthy.
YoloinOhio Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 i remember moore for torching us for like 175 yards and a couple tds like 5 years ago. I remember thinking how the hell can't we cover this no name guy?2011. Jason Campbell was the QB. Good old Wanny D.
Charles Romes Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 All I know about cundiff is that he misses lots of critical kicks. Gnawing that Hopkins was sitting there waiting for a call before week 1.

YoloinOhio Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Love Denarius Moore. Big time deep threat. Hope he's healthy. he is healthy and he can fly. Bengals are very deep at WR so he didn't make it.
truth on hold Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Who's going to do kick offs? Is cundiffs leg at 35 really any stronger than DCs? I can't imagine tying up 2 roster spots with them. DC must be on his way out one way or the other.
aristocrat Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 2011. Jason Campbell was the QB. Good old Wanny D. it's funny how he just sticks out to me.

truth on hold Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 i think he's hurt and Cundiff is insurance if he can't play.I think it's an interim step. Any moment I expect an announcement on DC.
YoloinOhio Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 I think it's an interim step. Any moment I expect an announcement on DC.why wouldn't they have cut him already?Rex talks to media today, so anticipate he will shed some light on it.
Southtown Tommy Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 People suggesting that Carpenter is somehow injured still...is there proof of this? He nailed a 51 yarder this year. Doesn't look hurt at all to me. trust me - he's having trouble with his knee.
Over 29 years of fanhood Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 One point of interest is that Denarius was with the Bengals all through OTAs and preseason, made it until final cut downs. He will be able to provide insight to Bills into Bengals offense as he also played for Hue Jackson's system in Oakland I remember a rediculous catch he made over Mckelvin as a rookie the day he shredded the bills for like 150... Thought he was going to be a good player.

Not necessarily cut but out x number of weeks all the way to injury settlement. Again IMO makes no sense to tie up 2 roster spots like this.
K D Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 by not being able to kickoff, Carpenter put himself in this situation. he's clearly struggling but i think a lot of kickers are this year with the new PAT rule. the problem is that since Carpenter can't kick off it's more of a glaring issue when he also can't make FG. too bad for him, he has been pretty money when we've needed him the last couple of years
YoloinOhio Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 (edited) Interesting stat on Moore -- @ChrisTrapasso: Denarius Moore saw 106 targets in 2013 and 2014 combined with #Raiders. Per @PFF, just 66 were "catchable." That = 62.2% catchable. Very low by not being able to kickoff, Carpenter put himself in this situation. he's clearly struggling but i think a lot of kickers are this year with the new PAT rule. the problem is that since Carpenter can't kick off it's more of a glaring issue when he also can't make FG. too bad for him, he has been pretty money when we've needed him the last couple of yearswhat is the situation with this...can he not kick off, is he not good at kick offs, or are/were they trying to keep him fresh for FGs or something? I forget. Edited October 7, 2015 by YoloinOhio
Best Player Available Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 i think he's hurt and Cundiff is insurance if he can't play. I think this is the most plausible scenario. Once Carpenter is healed Cundiff is gone.
YoloinOhio Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Does Cundiff have a good leg? CBF Yes. He will be doing Kickoffs I assume and better than Gay at FG if DC is hurt.
drinkTHEkoolaid Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Is Cundiff really better than Carpenter? Really? This is where I am at. I just want 1 decent kicker who can do kick offs and FGs. Is that too much to ask?
