K D Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 (edited) Boom > Freddy or Bryce? Probably no.. right? Well Bryce is an FA still, so... and Fred is injured (old bones) Edited October 6, 2015 by kdiggz
H2o Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Herron seemed like a good RB prospect coming out of Ohio St. Not sure what his deal is, but I hope he can provide some decent depth for us the next couple of weeks.
YoloinOhio Posted October 6, 2015 Author Posted October 6, 2015 (edited) Herron seemed like a good RB prospect coming out of Ohio St. Not sure what his deal is, but I hope he can provide some decent depth for us the next couple of weeks. he was part of Tat-Gate and got suspended. Hurt his draft stock which wasn't that great because he's not super fast. But he isn't bad at all and has experience in the power run game with Bengals and Colts while still being young and a good fit for this offense. He's pretty versatile out of the backfield. He would be a decent replacement for Karlos. Edited October 6, 2015 by YoloinOhio
BuffaloBill Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 So is this a boom or bust signing? No but it might be a red Herron...

Nanker Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Can you imagine in practice Rambo colliding with Boom? It would be like the apocalypse. That would make RamBoomBo!
Bills Fan in MD Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 I guess they really don't want Bryce Brown back.
Nanker Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 I think he took a big dump in Whaley's chair just before clearing out his locker.
hondo in seattle Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 (edited) 5'10", 213 lbs. 4.6 40 time. Has averaged about 4.5 YPC in the NFL. Zack Keefer of the Indianapolis Star said it was a "huge loss" for the RB room when the Colts cut Boom due to his shoulder injury. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2562182-boom-herron-waived-by-colts-latest-comments-and-reaction Greg Doyel, also of the Indy Star, was likewise unhappy with Boom's loss: "The Colts know football at the Ph.D. level. But what happened to Boom Herron, who was waived Sunday after being hurt Thursday? Stupid. Just stupid. And not only for Herron’s sake, but for the Colts’ sake. This is more than a nice guy you hate to see suffer an apparent season-ending injury. This was a guy the Colts were counting on as their backup running back..." http://www.indystar.com/story/sports/columnists/gregg-doyel/2015/09/06/doyel-curious-treatment-boom-herron-duron-carter/71822758/ Supposedly Boom is not great in pass protection but a strong runner with decent agility. Worked out for the Pats yesterday. Sounds like a decent signing under the circumstances - assuming his shoulder is now okay. Edited October 6, 2015 by hondo in seattle
eball Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Thank the baby jesus they didn't sign Richardson or Rice.
nucci Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 BOOM!!!!!!! (that'st he sound of signing a mediocre RB) Did you expect to sign a star RB at this point?
Bills Fan in MD Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Thank the baby jesus they didn't sign Richardson or Rice. Is that the eight pound, six ounce, newborn baby jesus sitting in his crib watching baby einstein videos?
Kirby Jackson Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 He had a ton of catches last year too if memory serves me correctly (at least in the playoffs). I am pretty sure he had a double digit catch game in there.
1st&ten Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 I guess they really don't want Bryce Brown back. Maybe Bryce has had it with the Bills & doesn't want to come back. I think he's a good back & would be a very good #2 for some team.
GG Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Greg Doyel, also of the Indy Star, was likewise unhappy with Boom's loss: "The Colts know football at the Ph.D. level. Say what?
