2020 Our Year For Sure
As for Schwartz, I would be fine with him stepping into that mess. Terrible HC. Bring him on Fins!People are actually scared of this clown. The guy who ordered his players to carry him off the field. LEADERSHIP right there He's a good coordinator but not a great one- no adaptivity. He needs the elite 4-man front that we have. When he had merely a very good 4-man front in DET, didn't work out so well...
Nihilarian
We all saw this coming Glazer tweeted Jim Schwartz was a name he thought they may consider. Could just be speculation on his part though. My lord NOOOOO! Look at the difference the guy made in Buffalo. He would certainly improve the Phins defense

DDD
Something was definitely wrong with the Dolphins. Coaching? Players? Over-rated? Someone had to pay and most of the time it falls on the head coach.
YoloinOhio
@ProFootballTalk: New Dolphins coach Dan Campbell says the team has the talent but needs to change the culture http://t.co/SPYoMC86GrApparently he says they didn't practice tough enough Bobby Carpenter on the radio here knows him well and said that he is an extremely tough coach - like the kind that will throw out f-bombs, call out players, even fight players. He said they will have an immediate culture change and play inspired football. Polar opposite of Regis Philbin. FWIW. So they're going from Jauron to Rex, at least in terms of temperament
YoloinOhio
So they're going from Jauron to Rex, at least in terms of temperament Rex is an odd bird IMO. He seems to support his players publically but don't know if he's tough on them privately. He is certainly an inspired coach with a pulse who hates losing, unlike Dicky. dorquemada
? Jesus Christ. Rex hates losing (like I hate hangovers) but can't figure out how to prevent it. Do you have to have movies explained to you in the theater?

Utah John
For whatever reason, it has been clear that the Dolphin players were trying to get their coach fired. Any team that plays that badly against a decent-but-not-great Bills team in their home opener, and then perhaps even worse against a pretty strong Jets team, is sending a clear signal that the party's over. It's a sad thing when a team quits, but there's no getting back from that point. The owner had to make the change.
H2o
They better hope the DC went too because the defense has been horrendous.
YoloinOhio
@ProFootballTalk: With a six-year contract that really isn't, Ryan Tannehill's future suddenly becomes cloudy in Miami http://t.co/s8Tx3M6nLc
dulles
I knew he was fired the moment James Walker said his job was secure because of a meeting with the owner. A meeting with the owner, like a "vote of confidence" is the kiss of death for a head coach. Isn't it nice that the Dolphin fans have such a reliable insider like James Walker to help them get the low down on the situation! http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/13806890/miami-dolphins-coach-joe-philbin-meets-owner-stephen-ross-team-falls-1-3 @ProFootballTalk: With a six-year contract that really isn't, Ryan Tannehill's future suddenly becomes cloudy in Miami http://t.co/s8Tx3M6nLc That's clickbait. Tannehill is secure. They'll look for a coach who thinks he can fix Tannehill. It's cheaper and easier than finding a coach AND a QB.
