YoloinOhio Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 (edited) @AdamSchefter: As of last night, the Dolphins were preparing to fire head coach Joe Philbin, per league sources. Dolphins owner... http://t.co/L6pdCPtDpY Edited October 5, 2015 by YoloinOhio
YoloinOhio Posted October 5, 2015 Author Posted October 5, 2015 Glazer tweeted Jim Schwartz was a name he thought they may consider. Could just be speculation on his part though.
plenzmd1 Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Glazer tweeted Jim Schwartz was a name he thought they may consider. Could just be speculation on his part though. Good hire for them...knows the division from last year.
YoloinOhio Posted October 5, 2015 Author Posted October 5, 2015 Good hire for them...knows the division from last year.and he knows Suh... Plus, they could keep their OC who apparently is ok (according to the fans)
Charles Romes Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Please no Schwartz in our division. Too good and too organized.
plenzmd1 Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Please no Schwartz in our division. Too good and too organized. wont be the same D as the last two games, you can bet on that.
Deranged Rhino Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Noooooooo. Â I was hoping the fins would keep him too. Just because he's so beatable.
BuffaloHokie13 Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Please no Schwartz in our division. Too good and too organized. Do you remember how unorganized and undisciplined the Lions were with Schwartz and Suh?
PromoTheRobot Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Do you remember how unorganized and undisciplined the Lions were with Schwartz and Suh? Oh yeah, there's a reunion angle! Did Suh play better for Schwartz? That could be reason enough to hire him.
YoloinOhio Posted October 5, 2015 Author Posted October 5, 2015 Do you remember how unorganized and undisciplined the Lions were with Schwartz and Suh?yeah he wasn't a good HC (but better than Philbin IMO). Â Aren't coaches fired mid season usually replaced internally on interim basis until end of year? Glazer talking about other external guys too and how they still need to abide by the Rooney Rule, etc.
Fixxxer Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Please no Schwartz in our division. Too good and too organized. Â I didn't like Schwartz as a HC with the Lions but he was great as our DC last year. If he is able to find what his shortcomings as HC were and is able to correct them, he is not a guy we would like to face 2 times a year.
YoloinOhio Posted October 5, 2015 Author Posted October 5, 2015 Â @SportsCenter: BREAKING: Dolphins fire head coach Joe Philbin after 1-3 start to 2015 season. (via ESPN and media reports) http://t.co/V293Ff9VyJ
FireChan Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Â I was hoping the fins would keep him too. Just because he's so beatable. If the Bills and Dolphins were ever in a "win and you're in" situation both at 8-7, Philbin was the only coach I would have confidence in choking more than the Bills. Â
YoloinOhio Posted October 5, 2015 Author Posted October 5, 2015 @WillBrinson: The Dolphins gave Joe Philbin an extension 196 days ago.
Wayne Cubed Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Can't hire Schwartz without interviewing a minority candidate.
Taro T Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Bummer. Really sorry to see him go. Thought he was the perfect fit for them.
plenzmd1 Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Sources say Dan Cambell hired...is this the same guy who played for the Bills?
