Pete Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 They are getting blown out 44-0 by TCU and are 1-3. In 2014 they didn't have one player selected in the draft. Texas is a gigantic state, and football is religion. They used to be a powerhorse. What happened?
Bills fan since 87 Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Baylor and TCU started getting their recruits
Pete Posted October 3, 2015 Author Posted October 3, 2015 Baylor and TCU started getting their recruits true. But Florida, FSU, and Miami all are decent

YoloinOhio Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 (edited) Baylor and TCU started getting their recruitsand A&Mtrue. But Florida, FSU, and Miami all are decentMack could have had Manzeil, RG3, JT Barrett, etc. All wanted to go to UT. He chose other QBs. His recruiting gaffes at QB are legendary. Now Tom Herman is at Houston stealing even more blue chips out of that state. Edited October 3, 2015 by YoloinOhio
Kirby Jackson Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 It's funny because I just put something like this on Twitter. How many college teams in Texas are better than Texas? 5-6? More? They are worse than TCU, Baylor, A&M, Texas Tech, maybe Houston? UT is a disaster at the moment.
YoloinOhio Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 They still have A++++ unis though Oh @Deadspin: Texas player tweets about transferring during halftime of blowout: http://t.co/Mtaya2GMHn
YoloinOhio Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 Huge turnaround win for the Longhorns in the Red River Shootout over #10 Oklahoma! Wow, didn't expect that at all after last week.
BetterNextYearRight? Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 Malik Jefferson is gonna be great someday. For all their recruiting mistakes the past few years he can be a cornerstone on defense. Absolute monster. If you can't recruit in-state you are going to have problems. Why Texas with how Baylor/TCU/Texas A&M have been developing players? Charlie Strong ran a good ship at Louisville, hope he can get the program back on track.

Very impressed. It doesn't mean they are good or even if they will make a bowl - but they beat their biggest rival when they were ranked in the top 10 and it means a lot.
