truth on hold Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 The Buffalo Bills are prepared to turn their backfield over to rookie Karlos Williams versus the New York Giants in Week 4. Nursing a nagging hamstring injury, LeSean McCoy is unlikely to play this week, NFL Media's Rand Getlin reported, via a source briefed on the injury. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000541779/article/lesean-mccoy-unlikely-to-play-for-bills-vs-giants
Beef Jerky Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 It's OK we have Williams... One of many.
Saxum Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Think Marcus Thigpin will get reps as RB or for screens this week in practice? Felton used to be a RB and Sam Gash I am sure taught his to carry the rock when he needed to, maybe they will try some two back sets where the FB takes the hand-off depending on alignment and who is on defense.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Need to sign a RB; maybe even Bryce brown. Can't go into this game with boobie as the no. 2.
truth on hold Posted September 29, 2015 Author Posted September 29, 2015 This is a smart move..Well it does make us easier to prep for as McCoy and Williams have such different styles. And McCoy is a receiving threat too
Saxum Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 It's OK we have Williams... One of many. Speaking of Williams Kyle was on offense for a few plays as eligible. Think it was just a big men on offense play or Bills may be looking to use him as a short range catcher? He has decent mobility now his feet issue seems to be cleared up.
QB Bills Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Great news. Karlos is a better fit behind this o-line anyway. McCoy needs stars up front to get him to the second level where he can do his real damage.
Saxum Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Need to sign a RB; maybe even Bryce brown. Can't go into this game with boobie as the no. 2. Pretty sure the ship has sailed for Bryce Brown and the Bills are more like to let go an under-performing player (Duke Williams?) and active RB from practice squad. Notice that no team has signed Bryce including teams with injuries to RBs,

Mark Vader Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 We need McCoy to be 100%. If he needs to heal up this early in the season, do it. Big picture.
truth on hold Posted September 29, 2015 Author Posted September 29, 2015 You always look for something negative... No matter how mundane.I don't know about that. But one thing I do know from here on you'll be on ignore
Maury Ballstein Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 I don't know about that. But one thing I do know from here on you'll be on ignore Oh snap.
John from Riverside Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Dont we have a RB on the practice squad? Bring him up.
Freddie's Dead Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Need to sign a RB; maybe even Bryce brown. Can't go into this game with boobie as the no. 2. Cierre Wood time. Our running game could use some wood!
Over 29 years of fanhood Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 (edited) Noone can argue with how Karlos Williams is running. If they need to start tossing it to keep up with those giant WRs and Eli, can he do pass protection? Edited September 29, 2015 by over 20 years of fanhood

If they need to start tossing it to keep up with those giant WRs and Eli, can he do pass protection? giants arent deep at defense, they can prep and make adjustments for one running style/blocking scheme but 2 would have taxed them. this is turning out to be of surprising concern in that theyll have 3 extra days to prep, cruz is back, shady is out, theyve have 4th Q leads in all their games, and couglin has rex's #

Big C Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 How about we take a look at this free agent, Bryce Brown?
Saxum Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Noone can argue with how Karlos Williams is running. If they need to start tossing it to keep up with those giant WRs and Eli, can he do pass protection? What pass protection by RB is important? There are no fantasy football stats for it! I bet Madden does not even account for it but since I have never done more than see cover not positive, Felton studied under Gash and should have some pass protection skills and he may need to stay in backfield a bit more than usually. Bryce was terrible in pass protection last year.
