NoSaint Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 The advantages are they learn the offense and serve as an additional practice arm. But yeah, if you get to where you need to actually use them, you're basically screwed anyway by that point... Yup. Plus if sims is that guy - he knows the offense and is available PLUS you can teach a practice squad guy in the meantime. Why rush to lock sims into your 53? So you can ensure the type of screwed you are in advance?
Andrew Son Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Great, I didn't even get one game out of my Cassell jersey! Damn you WHOSDAQ!
ALF Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Cassel turned down signing with Houston to stay here , but traded to Dallas. Good luck to him and his family even though he is a good friend of Brady.
goldenboy81 Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Great, I didn't even get one game out of my Cassell jersey! Damn you WHOSDAQ! Hahahaha classic
YoloinOhio Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 @ChrisTrapasso: Why I like trade for the #Bills is directly related to my EJ tenet: giving up on him after 13.5 games = really foolish IMO.
Leroi Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Great, I didn't even get one game out of my Cassell jersey! Damn you WHOSDAQ! Hahaha. Love it!! Imo
BUFFALOTONE Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 It appears that the front office is "100% confident" in T Rod. Entrenched!! Imo Well I'd hope so... You don't let go of your backup if you have any trepidation about the starter.
Gray Beard Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 I'm excited. We no longer have "Meh". And we now have 8 picks in the 2017 Draft. Until they take one away for train-horn-gate.
Andrew Son Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 This is much more of a vote of confidence for EJ than Tyrod. We all know a running QB can get hurt, they must be comfortable with EJ

YoloinOhio Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 This is much more of a vote of confidence for EJ than Tyrod. We all know a running QB can get hurt, they must be comfortable with EJhe looked good in preseason IMO. I'd rather him in there as backup than Cassel. He also has way more chemistry and reps built up with guys Iike woods and Watkins having been here.
Nanker Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 (edited) Wow. So it WAS Cassel who gave the P*A*T*S* his playbook. Justice is swift at OBD! Farewell Benedict Cassel. Edited September 22, 2015 by Nanker

TallskiWallski83 Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 This move is great on so many levels:1. Cassel was a consumate pro and competed for the job and hes earned the right to play games this year2. Great compensation3. Clears a spot so EJ can dress for games and become the #2 4. Idiot fans can stop clamoring for Cassel to start after Tyrod has 1 game where he doesnt win.
Saxum Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Ooh damn. Hope they got a fifth. Not likely but would be nice. The Bills sent a 2017 seventh-round pick to the Cowboysfor a 2017 fifth-round pick as well, NFL Media's Albert Breer reported, according to a Cowboys team source.
PastaJoe Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 he looked good in preseason IMO. I'd rather him in there as backup than Cassel. He also has way more chemistry and reps built up with guys Iike woods and Watkins having been here. Yeah, they're familiar with his overthrows and passes that get them killed.
Saxum Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Over/under on how many pages till this becomes another EJ thread? Post #8. You started it.
Andrew Son Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Wow. So it WAS Cassel who gave the P*A*T*S* his playbook. Justice is swift at OBD! Farewell Benedict Cassel. This is all part of the evil empires plan. Guess who the cowboys play later on?
CSBill Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 So in the past 14 days we have cut cassel, signed him, started him, and traded him. well, he is 1-0 this season … The Cowboys got a sweet deal
