Johnny Hammersticks Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 You can blame this one on me ladies and gents. Rex was nice to take the wrap, but it was what I didn't do that sealed Buffalo's fate on Sunday. Last week, my wife came out dressed in her 28 Spiller jersey. I promptly, as any real man would, got my roll of duct tape and sharpie and made a Darby nameplate. Well, this week I started drinking early. I forgot to re-tape the jersey. For this I am sorry. What did you do that caused the Bills to lose?
Beerball Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 I fell asleep before kickoff (I know, can you believe it?!?!) and missed part of the first drive and was late opening the game day thread. This one is on me.
GOBILLS78 Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 By brother-in-law came over to watch it. The Bills are like 0-14 when he's in my presence.
Beef Jerky Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 By brother-in-law came over to watch it. The Bills are like 0-14 when he's in my presence. After the first loss what made you let him come over the 13 other times?
voodoo poonani Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 I said in the fist half thread that these weren't the "same 'ol Bills" after the opening drive TD. Then they promptly showed up.
BuffaloHokie13 Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 I didn't get my order of wings until the end of the 3rd quarter. Then we promptly scored 3 TD's in about 7:30 of game clock.
hmsmystic Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 I still can't figure it out! Sat in my chair, same Watkins Jersey. Wife daughter and son in their spots. Had my same drink. Hung the Bills flags. Had my yellow ref flag and red challenge flags in my pockets.
plenzmd1 Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 (edited) All summer I hoarded Brokklyn Summer Ale. I Ihad a feeling it was going to be my lucky beer. Worked great for the Colts Brought a six with me to drink at tailgate... Yes checked luggage just to bring the beer. Forget in fridge at hotel...game over. Edited September 22, 2015 by plenzmd1
Beef Jerky Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Time to change routines if you used the same one.
Peter Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 I had to cut the grass down here in Miami before it rained. I was a few minutes late for the kickoff. It is my fault and had to catch up on the DVR.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Two critical things occurred, which caused us to lose. Both were my 4-year old daughter's fault, and she needs to stand up and take responsibility: 1) She wanted to switch hats and wear Fred Jackson's sweat-filled hat this week, instead of the throwback. This was opposite of week 1, and, obviously, led to an opposite result. 2) Then, she opened the basement door, and that led to one of my 8-month old boys crawling and falling/rolling 6 steps down. This was really scary for us (he was actually completely fine). But, as punishment for her inattentiveness, obviously the football gods declared this game to be a loss. Of note, by son was wearing a Bills onesie-- the metaphor here of him falling/crashing down right around the 3rd qtr was not lost on us.
Lurker Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 I opened and ate half the bag of peanut M&Ms I bought for the game on Saturday. Burn in hell, burn in hell...
Maury Ballstein Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 I failed to wear my Travis Henry jersey to Kelly's tavern like I did week 1. I'm sorry guys.
KellyToTasker Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 I watched it tape delayed. Ever since I was 11, over two decades later, they continue to lose when watched this way.
Mike in Horseheads Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Long time girl friend gave me a new hoodie last week, I didn't get it on until game time had the gray house hoodie on after the morning shower. Sorry. :{
chaccof Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 I trimmed the bushes instead of washing the cars and deck like I did for the Colts win....now I'm thinking that maybe the Colts just suck and washing cars isn't the right process either.....
Fixxxer Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 I should have sacrifized two goats instead of one, it's on me guys, sorry.
DC Greg Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Tailgated with the RV next to us. They were new England fans. Also, wore a bad luck hat.
