KD in CA Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Hey look, Todd Bowles can't develop a QB!
TheFunPolice Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Boy that Ole Fitzy could sling it... If he only had a defense...
Nick the Greek Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 He has heart tho, I'll give him that.
Freddie's Dead Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Fitz is Fitz. You can't saddle him up and ask him to win the game. Brandon Marshall and the complete lack of a running game cost them more than Fitz did.
YoloinOhio Posted September 28, 2015 Author Posted September 28, 2015 NY media to blame Rex in 3-2-1... @Deadspin: Son of Jets coach caught talking **** about players in locker room: http://t.co/fCjeQP4rkc
TheFunPolice Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 I'm so happy that yet another fan base can argue about Fitzpatrick. His career follows the same pattern every place he goes. He starts as the backup, goes in due to injury or poor play by the starter, wins over the fans by being "tough" "gutsy" and "a gamer." Then the truth rears its ugly head: he isn't very good and doesn't have the physical tools needed to do the job. Then the fans argue about him until the end of the season, when he is released. Rinse and repeat.

Looks like they're starting to figure him out: QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (35-for-58, 283 yards, 2 TDs, 3 INT) spent most of the day throwing 3-yard passes. http://nypost.com/2015/09/27/jets-report-card-offense-was-even-worse-than-the-numbers/
DC Greg Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 He has heart tho, I'll give him that. Did you know he went to Harvard, too? Also, I heard he wears his wedding ring while he plays.
GG Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Betcha the fans feel happy now that we didn't steal Bilal Powell from the Jets.
eball Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Did you know he went to Harvard, too? Also, I heard he wears his wedding ring while he plays. And his kids are still Bills fans...

Canadian Bills Fan Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 At least they didnt give him a big contract extension ..... CBF
Luxy312 Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 At the end of the day, what are the Jets going to say? Would they really say Geno Smith is their guy? He was terrible by comparison.

billsfan89 Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 The Jets saw Fitz's flaws this week. I still think he is a good QB for the Jets. The Jets have a very good defense and solid special teams, they have enough playmakers on offense to move the ball enough. And Fitz is a QB who can play within a system and get the ball out to his receivers enough. But Fitz will turn the ball over if asked to go out and win a game more often then not. He also will have trouble generating offense unless his skill position players are going hot.
Malazan Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 I remember thinking Fitz was the guy. I was so horribly wrong.
TheFunPolice Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Fitz is not a good starting QB for anyone except his team's opponent. Just stack the boxes and play the short passes, because he is inaccurate and erratic on anything long. Sure, he might get one on you once a game or so, but you'll get a pick or two on him when he goes deep so it more than evens out.
26CornerBlitz Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Ryan Fitzpatrick's limitations on display in Jets lossThe Jets won't be turning back to Geno Smith in Week 4. But consider Sunday's loss the first hint that Ryan Fitzpatrick might not be the team's season-long answer at quarterback. Hint??? Where have you been all of these years?
