Harvin breaks it gets 20 http://t.co/Xdj8F7PyHy @YardsPerPass: Same play from EZ... great pickup by Shady, TT stands in there and fires. That's how you win from the pocket http://t.co/rWePOfZK7f @YardsPerPass: This is all TT needs to do in the pocket #NetflixAndChill http://t.co/pBjjqrN36H @YardsPerPass: TT's 2nd INT was just prayer at the end of the half... nobody open under 10 sec left on clock... nothing to see here @YardsPerPass: Clay TD: TT is soooo good outside the pocket... Developing that pocket sense is key to being great QB http://t.co/sShrHUZwCS Edited September 22, 2015 by YoloinOhio
BmarvB Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Of course there's going to be growing pains, but this guy's upside outweighs the downside at this point. He'll get better as the season goes on and he gets more experience.
Dorkington Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 There really is a lot to like about Tyrod, and the couple mistakes seem very correctable.
Nihilarian Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Good stuff YoloinOhio! Here is part one on the defense http://www.wgr550.com/JW-All-22-Review-Bills-Pats/21989166
YoloinOhio Posted September 22, 2015 Author Posted September 22, 2015 Good stuff YoloinOhio! Here is part one on the defense http://www.wgr550.com/JW-All-22-Review-Bills-Pats/21989166 i have a separate thread on that from earlier (I like how he split it in two parts because the discussion will surely be different)
Dorkington Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 On the INTs, I'm not too worried about either Watkins pick... the one at the end of the first half was a tough throw, and it's easy to sail that... the one at the end of the game... well desperation time, and it's arguable Watkins could have caught it, but either way... those INTs don't concern me. They'd concern me a lot more if they were coming in different situations.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Stupid question-- are the yards per pass ones videos or just pictures?
26CornerBlitz Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 @TyDunne Coaches Film is up now. Here's the play referenced in today's story where Taylor missed Clay deep... https://vine.co/v/ePjWFIwJhYB Stupid question-- are the yards per pass ones videos or just pictures? YPP embeds Vines. @TyDunne This is what Rex referenced, too. Probably has something here if he steps up. https://vine.co/v/ePj7dMMelO7

Looks like his reads were to the left of the field, and by the time he would be able to check the right, the pocket collapsed... hard to fault Tyrod on that, imo.

Miyagi-Do Karate Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 vids thanks, guys. I think my IE browser is out of date. I switched to chrome and I can see them now.
YoloinOhio Posted September 22, 2015 Author Posted September 22, 2015 Here's a few more on TT from Yards Per Pass- @YardsPerPass: TT is fantastic at these deep shots... stands in the pocket and takes the hit. TD if not for the DPI http://t.co/ylnCa2qA3q
Fixxxer Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Several misses on really open WRs. Hopefully he can improve.
26CornerBlitz Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 thanks, guys. I think my IE browser is out of date. I switched to chrome and I can see them now. You should be on IE 11, but Chrome is a much better choice over any IE version.

Plus, there is a safety right there where Clay is heading. Not exactly an easy throw.
YoloinOhio Posted September 22, 2015 Author Posted September 22, 2015 @YardsPerPass: I think the main thing that is bothering me about TT so far (I'm halfway through 2Q) is that NE has been pretty basic in coverage @YardsPerPass: Read-option for someone that wanted it http://t.co/uRaL6kpOGm @YardsPerPass: 1st TT INT was nothing tricky by NE D, simple cover 1 @YardsPerPass: This is what Rex was saying about the pocket... no need to go anywhere here... In fact Nikovich was waiting for it http://t.co/s3LJ8e57iP
Nihilarian Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 There really is a lot to like about Tyrod, and the couple mistakes seem very correctable. What was scary to me was that at the end of the 3rd QTR the Bills had only 59 yards passing, with 2 INT's with the score 37-13. He needs to get a handle on the overthrows / air balls. Not to be negative but after the 3rd QTR it looked to me like the Patriots simply stopped stacking the box and only rushed their front four. Taylor started to look so much better when he had time to throw. Later the Bills kept 5,6, and sometimes 7 in to block to max protect. Both the run game, and passing improved greatly in the 4th QTR. What this showed me is that if other teams try to rush only four, and drop into coverage Taylor and McCoy should find a way to beat them.
K-9 Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Taylor is gonna get a steady dose of what he saw from Belicheat****. 59 yards through three quarters is beyond bad and it was mostly attributable to five and six man rushes with middle pressure and DEs maintaining discipline. TT had open guys and space to step up and find them. He is gonna make teams pay if he can be a bit more patient. GO BILLS!!!

Agreed...I'm excited to see how he learns from this; I think he'll have a better feel for things next time around.

Wouldn't be surprised if he has made huge strides by this week.
