Talley56 Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 I don't feel too different. For one thing, I felt, even before that game, the Colts way over-achieved last year. A lot really broke their way to get to the championship game (winning a soft division, getting the playoff choking Bengals in the first playoff game then the Broncos when Peyton was hurt and clearly not his usual self). The championship game annihilation to NE spoke volumes (NE was great but even the Ravens and Seahawks at least found a way to compete with them). The Colts are awful outside of Andrew Luck so if you can find a way to contain him you can dominate them (I recall a very mediocre Rams team destroying them a few years back). Also, I felt like we could have really blown them out worse than we did. After we went up 24-0 we clearly played off defensively.
Solomon Grundy Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 The Jets win over the Colts just shows how much of a copycat league the NFL is. The Jets basically copied the Bills blueprint defensively. Curious to see if the Dolphins will employ the Patriots defense against Tyrod Taylor and if he'd be able to perservere.
sjjr Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 The Colts will get better throughout the season. They don't have any receivers getting separation against man coverage so its tough against pressure teams like the Bills or Jets. I have a feeling they will play much better against the Titans this week. The Jets are good and very similar to the Bills. Have to think though the Bills have a little more talent and that the Jets might suffer some injuries to some of those older players throughout the season. Each game is all about matchups. The Jets and Bills were both bad matchups for the Colts early in the season. That might be different later on. Have to think the Bills will match up well with the Jets. I just remember how poorly Fitz/Chan played against Rex Ryan defenses when he was in Buffalo.
mattsox Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Not so impressive now. Hard to say, due to it being the first game of the season and all the hype. The Colts started 2014 season 0-2, won the division and went to the Championship game, so as it may not seem impressive now, it's more of a wait and see how this season plays out.
CountDorkula Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Not so impressive now. So the guy that tossed 40TD's last year is now "Not so impressive"?
filthymcnasty08 Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 (edited) we dominated…so…not really. Edited September 27, 2015 by filthymcnasty08
pepsicat17 Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 I'll let you know after the game today.
Not at the table Karlos Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 I still feel exactly the same as I felt before, during and after the game, the Colts are a soft team.
26CornerBlitz Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 I knew the Colts weren't as good as advertised, but not this terrible. Chuck Pagano has 'doubts' he'll return to coach Colts in 2016
Beef Jerky Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Hi welcome to speaking before the fat lady signs.
26CornerBlitz Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Hi welcome to speaking before the fat lady signs. They still suck.
FireChan Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 The Colts are garbage. I'm glad we embarrassed them, but they aren't an elite team like the Pack or the Pats. I feel less confident after our win, but I'll still take the W because they'll limp into the playoffs, and we need to win games against playoff teams.
YoloinOhio Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Quite the comeback by the Colts today. Their defense is a mess though.
xsoldier54 Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Nope. A win is a win is a win. We're 2-1 and made the Patsies sweat a little bit in the 4th quarter last week. Great start and I feel nothing but good about this team and the way they are playing.
