26CornerBlitz Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 AFC Playoff Picture: Six competing for two spotsThere are eight teams in the AFC with four or five losses through 10 weeks. Eight! Gregg Rosenthal sifts through the conference and takes a look at the AFC playoff outlook.
26CornerBlitz Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 @JaySkurski BN Blitz: What #Bills fans should root for in Week 11 http://bills.buffalonews.com/2015/11/20/what-to-root-for-week-11/
BillsFan-4-Ever Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 (edited) Oakland at Detroit: The Lions could do the Bills a big favor by handing the Raiders their third straight loss. Being on the road - a L is more than likely for the Raiders Indianapolis at Atlanta: The Falcons The division stinks, so does it really matter? New York Jets at Houston: A win by the Texans would even their record at 5-5 and drop the Jets to the same, which means all three teams would be tied with the the Bills, assuming a loss to New England Tough choice here .... The following week should be the decision maker Miami @ New York. Dallas at Miami: Tony Romo's return comes at a good time for Bills fans Can't argue here Kansas City at San Diego: Bills fans should be paying close attention to this one Go Chargers Cincinnati at Arizona: Go Bungles! Steelers on the BYE sorry to jump ahead to week 12 but looking here may influence this weeks choices. Bills @ KC Steelers @ Seattle New Orleans @ Houston My god MNF Baltimore @ Cleveland. EmotionallyUnstable Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 The AFC South is extremely confusing
JimBob2232 Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 Why Bungles??? Also, need indy to lose. would hate for indy/houston to join the WC mix Indianapolis at Atlanta: The Falcons The division stinks, so does it really matter? Cincinnati at Arizona: Go Bungles!
BuffaloBaumer Posted November 22, 2015 Author Posted November 22, 2015 I'm giving Steelers a spot right now. Go Chargers, Texans and Lions!
BillsFan-4-Ever Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 Why Bungles??? Also, need indy to lose. would hate for indy/houston to join the WC mix Why? The article indicated that "It's best for Buffalo if the Bengals run away with the AFC North." Unless all AFCS teams win practically every game then that division's 2nd place team might be a threat for the WC.
MDH Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 Why? The article indicated that "It's best for Buffalo if the Bengals run away with the AFC North." Yeah, in this one instance I'll root for the AFC team vs. the NFC team. If Pittsburgh somehow passes Cinci in the division that 7-1 conference record for the Bengals would kill the Bills in tie breakers.
BuffaloBaumer Posted November 22, 2015 Author Posted November 22, 2015 Raiders - Lose Jets - Lose Miami - Lose KC?
MDH Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 Raiders - Lose Jets - Lose Miami - Lose KC? So far, so good. How I'd love a Chargers win today. A Chargers win is almost as important as a Bills win.
BuffaloBaumer Posted November 22, 2015 Author Posted November 22, 2015 If Pittsburgh catches Cincy then 2 teams are making the playoffs from the AFC North. They are both making it anyway. Bills will have to grab last spot.
MDH Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 They are both making it anyway. Bills will have to grab last spot. I'm not conceding them that. They have Seahawks Colts, Bengals, Broncos in their next four. They could easily stumble during that stretch.
BuffaloBaumer Posted November 22, 2015 Author Posted November 22, 2015 Most likely. However Pittsburghs schedule is no cake walk @Seattle, vs Indy, @Cincy, vs Broncos. @ravens, @browns. They'll lose at least 2 IMO. I think Pitt is better than all those teams...by a lot. Pitt @ NE for AFC Championship.
BuffaloBaumer Posted November 22, 2015 Author Posted November 22, 2015 KC looks much better and will be a real battle in KC
26CornerBlitz Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 KC looks much better and will be a real battle in KC They look just okay to me. Peyton Manning gifted them the game last week and the Chargers are decimated by injuries.
machine gun kelly Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 So far, so good. How I'd love a Chargers win today. A Chargers win is almost as important as a Bills win. Agreed. Root for the Chargers.
Manther Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 (edited) If Pittsburgh catches Cincy then 2 teams are making the playoffs from the AFC North.Do you realize what would need to happen for the Bills to tie Cincy in record? Edited November 22, 2015 by Manther
26CornerBlitz Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 @AroundTheNFL Surging Chiefs have no problem with skidding Chargers http://at.nfl.com/bUqrJjr
26CornerBlitz Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 @JeremyWGR (Meanwhile, http://sportsclubstats.com estimates next week's Bills-Chiefs game has a playoff probability swing of 37%)
eball Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 By my quick analysis of AFC records the Bills will drop into 8th with a loss tonight -- tied with KC, Houston, and NYJ, but worse conference record than KC and Houston. Not a bad place to be, particularly when they will play those two teams over the next two weeks. Now, a W tonight on the other hand...nah, won't even allow myself to go there.
