BuffaloBillsMagic1 Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 I say pursue the Cowboys for a first rounder or 2nd and 3rd rounder as it might be worth it to the boys and allow us to utilize EJ as the backup or maybe future starter as well as giving us some leeway next year in the draft as it seems like we have a surplus at QB perhaps.
26CornerBlitz Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Sam Cassell? Didn't he already retire from the NBA?

We traded a 5th for Cassel and he lost the job, he is going to get a first? The Cowboys are going to roll with their backup. You dont bring in a brand new QB after week 2 who does not know your offense.  I would say the chances of this are slim to none.

QB injuries happen too frequently and what's available on the market is pretty bad.

You guys drink way too much.
Storm Front Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 I wonder if ole Orton will come out of retirement again to lead the Cowboys?
RyanC883 Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 (edited) Weedon looked pretty solid yesterday. I don't think the cowboys would be interested in a trade unless he gets hurt. Edited September 21, 2015 by RyanC883

2020 Our Year For Sure Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 A first rounder for a guy who just cleared waivers
K D Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 with that offensive line i think Weeden will do just fine. hard to make mistakes when you have all day to throw
tennesseeboy Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 I don't see the Cowboys doing anything other than going with BW. Too much to learn for a new guy and the backup looks pretty good.

we need the veteran backup, trade EJ
Johnny Hammersticks Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Oh good lord. Where do you people come up with this stuff. A 1st or a 2nd and 3rd rounder for Cassel? A guy who just cleared waivers, meaning essentially that all 32 teams thought their back-up QB was better than him? Common man.
dave mcbride Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 If I was the Cowboys, there's another guy I'd be calling: Orton.
sjjr Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Wonder if its worth a call to Chip to see what he would give for EJ today??

There is no QB on the Bills roster that would fetch anything close to a first round pick from any team in the NFL. A third is probably a bit much In reality. I'd say the best you could do is a 4th and chances are the Cowboys will just play Weeden and sign a street FA. These trade suggestions are so far out of reality.
26CornerBlitz Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Wonder if its worth a call to Chip to see what he would give for EJ today?? Maybe a 1st round pick, Sean Lee, and Dez Bryant too.
metzelaars_lives Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 People act like they don't have a QB on their roster. Weeden is a fine backup QB. There aren't any starters available. They knew/know Romo is injury prone, they wouldn't have kept him as their backup if they thought he was completely incapable. But yeah, Matt Cassel might fetch a 2nd round draft pick.
