"That plays right in their hands. If you have no poise, no focus you get caught up in all the BS, thats what they do," referring to the Patriots taking advantage of the Bills penalties. "We did that especially in the first half." Edited September 21, 2015 by YoloinOhio
BarleyNY Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Kyle's absolutely correct and I'm glad he's calling out his teammates. Now let's see how they respond.
YoloinOhio Posted September 21, 2015 Author Posted September 21, 2015 Good to have a leader like Kyle
Nanker Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Yes. He's right on point. I hope he stays a Bill in spite of the capologists wanting to cut him to save a few million.
NoSaint Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 we saw it with the lions a few years ago - loaded playoff caliber team that just gave games away with big penalties that were easily avoidable (and other corresponding mistakes that come with playing too emotionally)
Major Mud Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 I agree with KW, walk the walk, don't talk the talk.
Hapless Bills Fan Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 http://www.wgr550.com/pages/21984348.php?contentType=4&contentId=17810540 Kyle is spot on of course, but to what extent does Rex's coaching and pregame talk have something to do with it? In general, championship athletes who rise to the big occasion are the ones who channel their emotions into preparation and settle their nerves with "on task, do your job first"

In general, championship athletes who rise to the big occasion are the ones who channel their emotions into preparation and settle their nerves with "on task, do your job first" Rex's big mouth all week and the teams lack of focus and preparedness is 100% on Ryan. Hopefully he as well as the rest of the team learns from that embarrassment.

Hopefully he as well as the rest of the team learns from that embarrassment. its a new roster for him, top to bottom. he will hopefully learn that these guys will show up amped up without his riling them up like crazy. if anything, several guys will need to be reeled in on big games.

tennesseeboy Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 I like the way he's thinking. You can learn a lot from a game like that. Figure out what didn't work and correct it. I hope the team and coaching staff are looking at the defeat in this light as well.
Storm Front Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 I listened to the first half of the game on the radio. Kelso kept imploring the Bills to "Stop!" He kept saying that they are going to be needlessly penalized. Sure enough, one flag came after the other.
billsfan89 Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Hopefully it's a good wake-up call for the defense to not buy into their own hype. Also maybe Rex can learn and gear up and coach better the rest of the way. It can be a good long term thing for a team to get smacked early. Let's be honest when a lot of us looked at the Bills schedule weeks 1 and 2 and saw the Colts and the Pats* a split of those games would have been more than acceptable. If they come in and smack the Fins around then the season starts to snap into being.
KD in CA Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Rex's big mouth all week and the teams lack of focus and preparedness is 100% on Ryan. Hopefully he as well as the rest of the team learns from that embarrassment. These aren't 19 year old college kids; these are grown men being paid millions to act and play like professionals. Blaming Rex is way too convenient an excuse for the actions of guys like A Williams. Hopefully it's a good wake-up call for the defense to not buy into their own hype. Coach Tuesday Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 There are some true idiots on this roster, a number of whom are otherwise very good players. Jerry Hughes and Aaron Williams are at the top of the list: they're very good players and total knuckleheads who cannot seem to control themselves in critical moments. Hughes didn't get flagged yesterday (unlike Week 1) but was jawing with the refs throughout the entire game. He was especially incensed with the sideline judge on the Patriots' side, and kept pointing at him and mouthing off. Aaron Williams took two terrible penalties before his injury, and we've seen that before from him. Ron Brooks is also a moron - he punched a Colts player in the face last week and always seems to be unhinged.
JackKemp Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 I completely agree with Kyle. This was a lack of poise. They fell into the trash talking and let the Patriots get into their heads. If they are going to become winners they need to stop thaty like Tasker said.

The word you always hear after a NE game is "execute"; as in, 'how do they always execute so well'? And this is the answer. They don't employ guys who can't focus on the task and who can't control their emotions any better than a teenage girl, regardless of skill set.
4merper4mer Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 I agree with KW, walk the walk, don't talk the talk. I agree and it is a long season. This is one game. They can learn from this.
davspo Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 This team was way way too hyped up for this game. I was concerned all week with the talking and the bs. I hope the lesson is learned. We will see. A win next week would be a really really good thing.
