BillsFan-4-Ever Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 On any given Sunday (especially the first of the season) .... sometimes your opinions don't mean much when you base it on a 15 year drought.
BuffaloBill Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Time will tell but the horseshoes simply may not be a good team.
YoloinOhio Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Time will tell but the horseshoes simply may not be a good team.time will tell for sure... But they have been a good team every single year and will be as long as Luck is there. I highly doubt that they aren't a good team anymore.

I highly doubt that they aren't a good team anymore. They've beaten teams that they should have beaten (AFC South, Browns, Redskins last year). I think Football Outsiders' label of "paper tiger" is dead on. Edited September 17, 2015 by LeviF91

I think Football Outsiders' label of "paper tiger" is dead on. if you are just looking at last year, they also beat the Bengals (twice), Ravens and Broncos - all playoff teams. I don't think it's necessary to downgrade the victory. I don't personally think they will win the SB this year, but in no way do I think they aren't a good team. Hapless Bills Fan Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 (edited) They've beaten teams that they should have beaten (AFC South, Browns, Redskins last year). I think Football Outsiders' label of "paper tiger" is dead on. I think they will continue to be a good team as long as they have an excellent QB and they keep him healthy. But their D reminds me of Gailey's 1st year, 2010 draft. Just like that draft where we put 5 picks into D including 2nd & 3rd round but spent our 1st on "waterbug" RB - A lot of Colts 2015 draft picks went to D. They used 6 of 8 picks including 2nd through 5th round, NT, DE, CB, SS and I'm not sure they improved too much for it. I think the "paper tiger" label comes in because a lot of pundits were talking them up as the 2015 SB contender, thinking they'd taken a step. We'll see what they do this week, but I'm not sure signing Andre Johnson and Frank Gore helped them much without more line. I think if Andrew Luck were writing their draft board he might have weighted the OLmen in the draft a little differently. Edited September 17, 2015 by Hopeful

They rack up wins against less-than-quality opponents (thanks to their division) and get exposed in the playoffs by a more physical team with more than cardboard cutouts for defense.

The clowns on this website are frequent guests with Schopp, who loves their "analytics." They basically said the Bills were an 8-8 team. Remember, you can't spell analytics without "anal." boyst Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 We need to stick to rushing 3 or 4 next week. Brady does well under pressure from the outside and only gets rattled when its up the middle. If we can rush 4, with one of them being an extra body up the middle we're good. We simply need to get Brady off point. He is a machine, gets his 3 or 5 step drops and he succeeds. We need to beat him. We need to get him to the spot by rushing speed up the middle, time and time again. Bryant, KWilliams, Charles, Dareus up the middle over and over again. I would be fine with a 3 man DL and putting an extra rusher up the middle with the DT. Bradham could do very well.

Only way to beat him is bringing pressure in exotic ways.
boyst Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 Dear god Brady would have a field day. Only way to beat him is bringing pressure in exotic ways. Why? We have good enough DB's and 4 guys can get to him. Getting to him outside does nothing. We have to get him outside. This is why you blow up the interior of their OL. The Marcel and Kyle show can now commence. I know this sounds crazy, but I don't want to rely too much on KW this week. I know he's great, but I am fine trying to get a 3 man front. Use KW 40% of the time, Dareus 40% and Bryant 20% up the middle, shaded outside the OC over and over again. Keep them fresh. Use Bradham and a slew of others, including AWilliams on blitzes.
