26CornerBlitz Posted January 27, 2016 Author Posted January 27, 2016 @BuffaloSabres A new look to our lines. #BUFvsOTT Gionta and Weber.
LB3 Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 (edited) Holy Eichel wraparound - sick Great play by Eichel. Never should happened though. Horrible slash call against Hoffman. You know it's bad when the Sabres announcers nearly chuckle over how bad of a call it was. Edited January 27, 2016 by LBSeeBallLBGetBall
LB3 Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Oh well. The Sens have won enough games they've deserved to lose. They're gonna lose when they deserve to win. Eichel is the man.
plenzmd1 Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 (edited) They actually kept me awake tonight...fun game..the kind i was expecting all year. Not necessarily the win, just the entertainment value. As Duffer said.."a tenth game tonight" Edited January 27, 2016 by plenzmd1
eball Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 I didn't turn the game on until the 2nd, just in time to see Eich's ridiculous wraparound. Really happy to see Lehner starting to look like the real deal. Can't deny I'm a little disappointed in the overall record at this point, but so many good signs for the future...
26CornerBlitz Posted January 27, 2016 Author Posted January 27, 2016 @BuffaloSabres Robin Lehner shines in first game back in Ottawa; Sabres win: http://bufsabres.co/tPoY9M
26CornerBlitz Posted January 27, 2016 Author Posted January 27, 2016 @cpdesi Pretty neat: 50 years ago the NHL rejected Buffalo's bid for a franchise. The #Sabres were founded four years later.
bbb Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 And, 50 years later, Queen Elizabeth is still the queen!

Alaska Darin Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 @Sportsnet Clint Malarchuk, The Survivor. #BellLetsTalk http://ow.ly/XBOyD I met Clint when he was coaching the Idaho Steelheads of the old WCHL. Interviewed him a couple of times. Just a great guy.
26CornerBlitz Posted January 28, 2016 Author Posted January 28, 2016 Sabres rookie Jack Eichel's breakout puts him back into Calder contention Jack Eichel has been heating up. The No. 2 overall pick came into the league with a lot of hype, but that didn't translate to a lot of points right away. Now he seems to be hitting his stride and making a run at the Calder Trophy.
26CornerBlitz Posted January 28, 2016 Author Posted January 28, 2016 @TheBuffaloNews Jack Eichel is on fire. Just look at his numbers and what he's been doing on the ice. http://sabres.buffalonews.com/2016/01/27/at-the-break-eichel-living-up-to-the-hype/
26CornerBlitz Posted January 28, 2016 Author Posted January 28, 2016 @Deadspin VIDEO: Dennis Wideman cross-checks linesman from behind http://deadsp.in/uXXwMsR @Sportsnet Consulting the NHL rulebook to make sense of the Dennis Wideman incident with a linesman. http://ow.ly/XDxLt
eball Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 I don't think there's any justification to punish Wideman for that. He was clearly "not himself" after the hit to the head moments earlier.
LB3 Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 I don't think there's any justification to punish Wideman for that. He was clearly "not himself" after the hit to the head moments earlier. Sarcasm?
ricojes Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 I don't think there's any justification to punish Wideman for that. He was clearly "not himself" after the hit to the head moments earlier. He needed a Snickers bar...
