Damn, want to go to game tonight, but tickets crazy expensive. Lot o people in town And the great 8 on the ice. Here is to hoping not much colder tonight as I try to found some more resonantly priced tickets outside.

Not sure what I will do if Kane scores

This sums it up pretty well. I was so pissed after the draft, but was fine with Eichel by the time the draft rolled around. The thing that scared me about McDavid was his love for the Maple Leafs, I still think he'll be playing there at some point in his career.

I don't think the Sabres would have much to worry about with McDavid but Edmonton definitely does. He was not happy to be drafted by the Oilers and doesn't want to play there.

Wrong. Again. Stick to football.

No as usual, it's just you being you.

There is no question that not winning that lottery was a huge downer.

Not getting the local ultra phenom cost the franchise a fortune.

I talked to some people at One Buffalo weeks afterward and they were still devastated.

Not because of the player....everyone likes Eichel.......because of the lost impact.

As has been pointed out.......a lot of folks from Ontario venture down to watch the Sabres........but creating a new generation of Sabres fans in Ontario would have been enormous.

The Leafs have been doing their best to not be southern Ontario's team for the past 50 years........McDavid would have been huge and part of what you saw last year was people ANTICIPATING his arrival.

It seemed destined. Didn't happen.

@BuffNewsVogl

Robin Lehner returns to practice with Sabres. Team will gauge progress for next week, then start him with Amerks. http://sabres.buffalonews.com/2015/12/29/sabres-lehner-returns-to-practice-pretty-much-100-percent/

@BillHoppeNHL

Robin Lehner still doesn't have a timeline for a return. But he's getting close, & that's a special feeling http://www.buffalohockeybeat.com/sabres-goalie-robin-lehner-practices-could-begin-rehab-stint-soon/

Initially I thought you were trolling, but this makes perfect sense. Not the player, but the financial impact.
