:) Interesting info, though. I didn't know about Legwand...............I think Kane and Bogo are top 5, also. Maybe RR? A lot of high picks on this team.

Risto was taken like 16th...after Grigorenko if i remember correctly.

If you mean ROR, i think he was a 2nd rounder.

Just looked it up. Risto was 8th. I actually was thinking #6 when I said maybe he was top 5.

Grigorenko and Girgensens (sp?) were the same draft.

They were respectively 12th and 14th in the 2012 draft.

Is Lehner an appreciably better goalie than Johnson or Ullmark?

And in an earlier Sabres game, a Sabre kicked the puck towards the net, it went off the opponent's skate an in the net, but was disallowed. Why? I can understand if it didn't go off the other guy's skate.

No one knows on Lehner. GMTM loved him in Ottawa. He is the prototypical BIG goalie that Murray likes...but Lehner is also known to be a bit of a nutcase. Think Murray was thinking longer term on Lehner, with this year being his learning year so to speak.

Not sure on the play you referenced, but i would think i distinct kicking motion cancels the goal even if it hit another opposing player first but goes directly in the net...but i do not know that for sure

Any deliberate kicking motion towards the goalie is disallowed. I had the same feeling you did when I saw that play as well, though. Someone had to explain it to me as well. It's about protecting goalies from sharp blades, but I think they take it to extremes.

GO SABRES!!!

Thanks. I would have thought the rule was so that players have to use their stick to score, since I assume you also can't push the puck into the net with your hand either. I just don't think it makes sense disallowing the goal if it hits off someone else's skate or body. But whatever.

Moulson - 9th Round (263rd)

I love it whenever one of these players pops up who was drafted in a round that no longer exists. That's almost Tsujimoto territory there. It makes me wonder where some of these undrafted guys would have gone if they had 10+ rounds.

Taro sez...Moulson in the 9th round is Golden.
