Sabres are on the rebound on TV http://talkintv.buffalonews.com/2015/11/03/depending-on-how-you-score-them-sabres-tv-ratings-are-up-50-75-percent/

The Buffalo Sabres already have won back a large portion of their armchair fans a dozen games into the season.

The first 12 games of the season have averaged a 7.0 rating on MSG, which is about 75 percent higher than the 4.1 average rating the first dozen games averaged on TV a year ago.

However, there is an asterisk. Two games with late starts on the West Coast last season averaged 1.5 ratings.

If you eliminate those two games, the Sabres averaged a 4.6 rating for 10 games played at a reasonable hour last season. That would still make the ratings gain this season about 50 percent.

That's a shame. Kid has been playing great based on highlights( I have not watched an Oilers game yet ).

Agreed, I'm not rooting at all for McDavid to fail. Looked like a clean play by the Flyers too...just a bad break (literally).

If he was in the east, be different. Edmonton fans seem like a good lot, feel bad for them.

@martybiron43

Unfortunate injury to Connor McDavid but lucky it's just a bone. This similar fall ended Michel Goulet's career.

@Sportsnet

Oilers' McDavid to have surgery on broken clavicle, GM Chiarelli says he will be out "months" http://ow.ly/Ufl2h

I remember that play like it was yesterday...Goulet was my favorite player growing up (I wore #16 for le Nordiques for my first 3 years of hockey) and I hated seeing him go out like that.
