26CornerBlitz Posted October 26, 2015 Author Posted October 26, 2015 @NHL .@CanadiensMTL are chasing history with a perfect 10-0-0 start tomorrow: http://s.nhl.com/6016BOlD2 With a win Tuesday, the Montreal Canadiens can accomplish what two teams in NHL history have previously: Win the first 10 games of a season. The 9-0-0 Canadiens, who have trailed for a total of 2:57, will go for their 10th straight victory against the Vancouver Canucks at Rogers Arena (10 p.m. ET; RDS, CITYM, SNV). Montreal can match the 1993-94 Toronto Maple Leafs and the 2006-07 Buffalo Sabres.
26CornerBlitz Posted October 26, 2015 Author Posted October 26, 2015 @BuffaloSabres The #Sabres have recalled forward Tim Schaller from @AmerksHockey. http://bufsabres.co/ZfnpqO @BuffaloSabres #Sabres lines this AM: Deslauriers-O'Reilly-Ennis Reinhart-Eichel-Larsson Moulson-Girgensons-Gionta Foligno-Legwand-Schaller-McGinn
26CornerBlitz Posted October 26, 2015 Author Posted October 26, 2015 Ugh. Not good. Any update on kane? @pham1717 Bylsma said Kane has a MCL injury and out 4 to 6 weeks. @BuffaloSabres Coach Byslma says Evander Kane has an MCL injury; he'll be out 4-6 weeks.
zevo Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 so in all seriousness......i dont mind seeing these kids grow but us still losing....the hockey has been at least entertaining and securing another top pick while we grow would not be the worst thing in the world
26CornerBlitz Posted October 26, 2015 Author Posted October 26, 2015 @BuffNewsVogl Sabres' offense takes big hit as Evander Kane will miss four to six weeks with MCL injury. No surgery required. http://sabres.buffalonews.com/2015/10/26/sabres-kane-out-four-to-six-weeks-with-mcl-injury/
plenzmd1 Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 rough weekend just got even rougher...at some point this injury thing on both teams has to end
Mike in Horseheads Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 Maybe they need to add some calcium to the water in Erie county or something because this is nuts.

Can any Buffalo sports teams stay healthy? 8 games in and already down a #1 goalie and first liner...
26CornerBlitz Posted October 26, 2015 Author Posted October 26, 2015 @BuffNewsVogl Marcus Foligno's leg injury should cost him just one game. He says he should play for Sabres on Tuesday in Philly. http://sabres.buffalonews.com/2015/10/26/sabres-foligno-ready-to-return-to-lineup/
26CornerBlitz Posted October 26, 2015 Author Posted October 26, 2015 Dan Bylsma (10/26/15) (10:37) Dan Bylsma speaks after practice Monday at First Niagara Center.
26CornerBlitz Posted October 26, 2015 Author Posted October 26, 2015 @THNKenCampbell Injured Evander Kane told THN he asked for a trade every off-season when he was in Winnipeg. My blog. http://bit.ly/1LSlC6P
4merper4mer Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 (edited) At what point does this version of the Sabres rebuild start to compare to the all-in approach Pegula had in his first year as owner. Eichel = Regher? Kane = Leino? I hope it doesn't happen like that but they sure seem to suck even more than the Bills. Edited October 26, 2015 by 4merper4mer

4merper4mer Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 Are these real comparisons? Look, I don't know that much about hockey but have seen touted guys come into both football....see the wonder boy Andrew Luck who blows chunks....and the last versions of the Sabres. There have been plenty of Carmelo Anthony type players who put up wow numbers and whose teams always suck. I would say it is too early to judge, but there is simply no denying that the early returns appear to be that the GM cannot evaluate goalies, the stud from Winnipeg is fragile, the stud from Colorado is a boozer who can't drive, and the stud rookie finishes a small percentage of his plays. The W/L record and the scores of the games reflect this.

4merper4mer Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 Boy! You really are a hockey novice. I said as much but I'm pretty sure 2-6-0 is a record even a novice can figure out.
