billsfan89 Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Hopefully he comes back as a luxury because Darby is playing so well. Still good news, Leodis had his best year under a Pettine system, Rex has a system you have to think is similar. So hopefully he can give the team a boost in the stretch run.
Nanker Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 That is great news. He's probably 2-3 weeks away from getting on the field though. Maybe even longer. IMO

I wouldn't be surprised if he sits out week 7 against Jacksonville, then we have our Bye week. Week 9 against Miami would seem like a good week to get him back. I doubt we'd need him for Jacksonville. Give him an extra couple weeks to get in football shape and fully heal.. IMO..
boyst Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 (edited) as soon as mckelvin is cleared he can play right? because he's pup It'll be week 7 at the earliest. Has to miss 6 weeks on the PUP list. ok nevermind Edited September 16, 2015 by Boyst62

The other view is maybe you let him knock off rust against the Jags.

Jax would be a good first game back. Not so much pressure. Miami is important.
hondo in seattle Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 The other view is maybe you let him knock off rust against the Jags. Yep. With a limited snap count.

Eh, if he's a couple weeks away from game ready, then by week 7 he'll be beyond healed up and ready to go. It'd allow him some game time, and a good amount of rest (the bye) to recover, before going back in full hoss.
26CornerBlitz Posted September 16, 2015 Author Posted September 16, 2015 Yep. With a limited snap count. That's what I would do.

If he's cleared and healthy enough to practice, he'll play. Why would he need a extra couple of weeks if he's already healthy and cleared to play?
Doc Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Yeah, no reason to sit him out week 7, especially against Jax. Give him that game to work into game shape.
John from Riverside Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Quite honestly....I am ready to proceed on without him. Darby is the future
