TakeYouToTasker Posted September 15, 2015 Share Posted September 15, 2015 For anyone watching the All-22: There was at least one defensive formation, I want to say possibly even in the 1st quarter, where Manny Lawson lined up wide on the perimeter. He was on the right side of the defensive formation. Thing is, he wasn't on the line playing jam coverage with support over the top. He was lined up what I remember to be about 15 yards off the LOS, and he was playing over the top of the CB, who was lined up in a press cover look. He may have been the deepest player on the field. I remember watching that, and thinking: "What the !@#$ is that?" Can anyone with a second look tell me what was going on there? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

BTW, the most impressive aspect of the Bills D to me was the miserly Yards After Catch/Contact. It seemed that if a Colt caught a ball, he was instantly hit and taken down. And as soon as a runner made contact with a Bills defender, he was stopped. That was the most "shut down" portion of the game to me, and possibly the best I've ever seen the Bills pull off.
