Happy Days Lois & Clark Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 Of their projected starters on defense they had a total of 11 sacks in 2003. Aaron Schobal for the Bills had 11.5 by himself Ryan Denney had 3.5 sacks last year which is more than their projected defensive ends and their projected linebackers combined. Their projected DE's had 0. Name sacks position M Stroud 4.5 DT J Henderson 3.5 DT P Spicer 0 DE B Green 0 DE M Peterson 1 MLB A Ayodele 1 WLB G Favors 0 SLB Green is the projected RDE who was a 6th rounder in '03 but was injured all of his rookie season Spicer is the projected LDE who was undrafted in '98. He played in all 16 games & started 1. He appears top be a journeyman DE who probably is better as a backup Favors was on the Bills a few years ago as a backup & eventually was cut by the Bills. That was before the Bills signed Spikes & Posey Although they have some very solid players on their defense, I definately see some weaknesses as a whole that the Bills could exploit. http://www.nfl.com/teams/depthcharts/JAC
Happy Days Lois & Clark Posted September 4, 2004 Author Posted September 4, 2004 correction - their 2nd round rookie Daryl Smith will likely start over greg Favors at an outside linebacker position.
njsue Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 The Jags are still the same type of team the Bills Blew out the door last season.
