Why no Percy on kickoff returns?

Cant seem to figure this one out. The last game he played (superbowl) he turns on the burners and takes one all the way for a TD.

Yesterday the wind guaranteed two quarters of returnable kicks and we have the best kick return guy in the NFL watching from the sidelines.

Whats the deal?

We can save the best for offense since we have an excellent on the squad

My thoughts as well, the gain on returns is less than the loss on offense were he to get hurt in my opinion. Now there may be a point where we have to go all in and risk the injury but I don't think we are there by any means.

The last game he played was vs Miami on 12/28.

Remember when he took a nap in the end zone last year. Plus he is fragile.

Percy Harvin didn't play in the Superbowl. He played for the Jets. They didn't make the playoffs.

I always prefer that the KO and PR are especialists only. That guy will always try to avoid stupid decisions because it's their jobs on the line.

I don't want a punt catcher, mind you, but guys like Harvin or McKelvin will always think they can score on every opportunity they get and might not be aware of certain situations during a game.

I like Thigpen - he's smart back there.

This is a really good point. Percy, as a star player, is given more leeway with the decisions he makes. He would be more likely to take a ball deep out of the endzone because wants to make a play. Thigpen, as strictly a return guy, should know better.
