YoloinOhio Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Saw that... Miami seemed to be ok with it enough to transition tag him
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 I won't be too sad about him only being productive during this super bowl season.
The Big Cat Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Is a 6x knee drain a lot for a professional football player? Some context would be nice.
Beef Jerky Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 (edited) Nope, not worried. No one else should be either. Bills did the homework needed and also plenty of players get knees drained yet play fine on Sunday. Edited September 13, 2015 by Beef Jerky
NoSaint Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Is a 6x knee drain a lot for a professional football player? Some context would be nice. Seems extreme but I'm always shocked when I hear what's normal for being "nfl healthy" Saw that... Miami seemed to be ok with it enough to transition tag him Tags way different than a long term deal though.
ToGoGo Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Why release this information on opening day?
Rico Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 I'm more concerned that Sammy will stay healthy tbh.
YoloinOhio Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Seems extreme but I'm always shocked when I hear what's normal for being "nfl healthy" Tags way different than a long term deal though. they tagged him because they were trying to sign him to a long term deal and couldn't come to terms in time for FA
John from Riverside Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Lets keep in mind that he was having Knee problems LAST year.........and playing Players do overcome this
MDH Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Lets keep in mind that he was having Knee problems LAST year.........and playing Players do overcome this The report was talking about his longevity. Said something to the effect that some people with the Phins didn't think his career would last much more than 2 more seasons due to his knee. Report went on to mention the Bills gave him $24 million in guaranteed money. Let's hope those concerns end up being unfounded...

NoSaint Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 they tagged him because they were trying to sign him to a long term deal and couldn't come to terms in time for FA And part of the reason perhaps being long term concerns?
nucci Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 So many of you are paranoid on here...all players can get hurt and many do. Try to enjoy the game today
John from Riverside Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 But yes....having to have your knee drained too many times is a concern. The fluid biulds as the bodies way of attempting to heal
YoloinOhio Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 And part of the reason perhaps being long term concerns?wasnt mentioned at the time, but seemed more like his agent knew he could get more money elsewhere so he didn't sign there. They certainly were trying to sign him long term until the last minute. I would think the TE they did sign has more issues with concussion, shoulder, etc.
FireChan Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 wasnt mentioned at the time, but seemed more like his agent knew he could get more money elsewhere so he didn't sign there. They certainly were trying to sign him long term until the last minute. I would think the TE they did sign has more issues with concussion, shoulder, etc. They signed Cameron to a two year deal. Not really a risk.
atlbillsfan1975 Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Hopefully it is the same people who said pass on Brees...Maybe said in jest, but I wonder if the Dolphins have the same team doctors.
