Big C Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 I'd rather it be someone modern and relevant, but tying present and past is cool too. Bruno Mars twice in three years is strange, but I was pleasantly surprised by his performance.
Malazan Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 I'd rather it be someone modern and relevant, but tying present and past is cool too. Bruno Mars twice in three years is strange, but I was pleasantly surprised by his performance. C'mon,Get on board the Taylor Swift train
BuffalothruMyVeins Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 If it doesn't include Up With People, it's not a Super Bowl Halftime show. Holy god... I got about four minutes in, that was just disgusting... I don't care what year it was, there is no excuse. C'mon,Get on board the Taylor Swift train Actually, I think Miley Cyrus is more the type to run a train... Wait, what were you talking about?
The Dean Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 I really can't believe football fans give a rat's ass who plays at halftime, unless they are stuck listening to it at the game. And if I was at the game, I would much prefer something like this
Nick the Greek Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 I wish they got someone like U2, Green Day, or ACDC Metallica.. I know, that's a dream CBF
truth on hold Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 That's horrible. Rarely does a half time show make such an impression on me (good or bad), but that one stunk
jr1 Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 they should spice things up with Tyler, The Creator
Rocky Landing Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 I've signed the petition to get Weird Al Yankovic two years in a row. He could do cover songs of all the past performers on the accordion. It would be epic.
Talley56 Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 I wish they got someone like U2, Green Day, or ACDC CBF agreed, I'd be fine with any of these
Saxum Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Since most of the people in stands are very rich old people or family of 'minority' (black) players they should satisfy those two audiences and show a different show to TV audience. For those in stands have Lawrence Welk band do rap (no talent needed, anyone can do) and for those on TV have Simpsons creators do animated show with voices / music from different shows in Superbowl history.
Ralonzo Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Hell with all of this... just bring back Left Shark
Malazan Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Holy god... I got about four minutes in, that was just disgusting... I don't care what year it was, there is no excuse. Buffalo Barbarian Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Not sure if this has been posted yet... http://www.realtytoday.com/articles/34171/20150910/nfl-offers-bruno-mars-super-bowl-50-halftime-show-2016.htm CBF Boo!! Slayer
Fadingpain Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Led Zeppelin with Jason Bonham on drums
SF Bills Fan Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Foo Fighters or Metallica. Foo fighters are probably more realistic at this stage. Wake up NFL. Prince nailed it. And I am not even a Prince fan. Prince killed it that night. Owned the stage. And, I might add, covered a Foo Fighters tune (partially)
Nanker Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 I really can't believe football fans give a rat's ass who plays at halftime, unless they are stuck listening to it at the game. And if I was at the game, I would much prefer something like this https://w ww.youtube.com/watch?v=P4DEvnjR4LE I'm with you on that... this coming from an old D & B Corpsman. I've signed the petition to get Weird Al Yankovic two years in a row. He could do cover songs of all the past performers on the accordion. It would be epic. ONLY if he does a Burl Ives medley.
dave mcbride Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Holy god... I got about four minutes in, that was just disgusting... I don't care what year it was, there is no excuse. Actually, I think Miley Cyrus is more the type to run a train... Wait, what were you talking about? For people who don't know, Up With People was the halftime headliner for 11 straight years - 1976-86. And every one of their performances was just as cringe-inducing as this one.
Blaise321 Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 I'm with you on that... this coming from an old D & B Corpsman. ONLY if he does a Burl Ives medley. With a "sing along with Mitch" format. They can put the words up on the jumbo-tron with the bouncing ball and everyone in the stands can sing.
Thunderstealer Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Springsteen was by far the best in recent memory. And yes that U2 one was pretty bad ass too. I had thought Springsteen was a US only superstar-- I didn't think his message was one that would resonate--as prominent-- in other countries. Wow was I surprised when Ichecked out his career record sales.
