Marv Levy Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 My one main reason I disagree with the topic is that I have hometown roots to the Bills , so I always want them to win, vs having no real college loyalty.
Webster Guy Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Plus college has the classic white stripes on the ball which makes it far more fun to watch. Nfl ball = the color of dirt. Basically its like theyre trying to camo the tiny thing that 80,00p people are watching.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 I have been beating the drum of PI as just a yardage penalty forever. Works well in college, without the parade of horribles everyone always imagines (eg, guys getting dragged down 40 yards down field). Ridiculous how many bad PI calls in the NFL change the game.
Chilly Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 (edited) I have been beating the drum of PI as just a yardage penalty forever. Works well in college, without the parade of horribles everyone always imagines (eg, guys getting dragged down 40 yards down field). Ridiculous how many bad PI calls in the NFL change the game. I think the counter argument to this is the disincentive to commit PI in critical situations diminishes significantly. If you think he's going to catch a 40 yard pass, nail his ass every time. Promotes injuries which puts the NFL in a bad situation with everything going on. The skill level is MUCH closer in the NFL than College so I think it would happen in significantly more situations. Buffalo Barbarian Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 I agree with a lot of this... http://mweb.cbssports.com/ncaaf/eye-on-college-football/25298028 and its rougher
