buffalover4life
Here are some of the contracts that have been paid out to the 2011 draftees. The first year of the new collective bargaining agreement. Really think this helped stop some of the busting at the top of the draft. Six 100 million dollar men, only one of them a QB. Over a billion dollars will be paid out to these 12 players when it's all said and done. Seems to be a historic draft class...would have been seven 100M players if Aldon smith didn't crash and burn. Cam Newton- 5 year, 103M Von miller- gonna be 100M Marcel Dareus- 6 year, 100M A.J Green- in negotiations but should be more than Julio Patrick Peterson-5 year, 70M Julio Jones- 5 year, 71 million Tyron smith 8 year, 110M JJ watt-6 year, 100M Robert Quinn-6 year, 65M Ryan Kerrigan-5 year, 57.5M Later rounds Randal Cobb- 4 year, 40M Justin Houston- 6 year, 101M Demarco Murray- 5 year, 42M Julius Thomas-5 year, 46M Edited September 10, 2015 by buffalover4life

Someday not so long from now, it'll be "remember when 18 million a year was a big number?"

aristocrat
it's pretty astounding if these guys can invest properly the amount of wealth creation for these athletes. Done right there could be some billionaire athletes in the next couple decades. Pretty amazing.
