PromoTheRobot Posted September 9, 2015 Author Posted September 9, 2015 (edited) Exactly. Taylor basically has never played. Where do you think he should be ranked?Right around two guys who never set foot in the NFL, 24 and 25? Edited September 9, 2015 by PromoTheRobot
John from Riverside Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 If you weren't a Bills fan, would you really think the #1 overall pick was worse than Tyrod? Yes He is a rookie who has not looked great in pre season
Buffaloed in Pa Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 Who cares. We got E.J. if he shitz the bed.
PromoTheRobot Posted September 9, 2015 Author Posted September 9, 2015 (edited) It's a completely arbitrary ranking like 1000 other off season rankings. You know if TT was ranked 30th people would still complain that he should really be 20th lol Probably has something to do with what they think of TT No. If you value experience and put TT at 32, then Mariota and Winston shouldn't be higher than 31 and 30. My problem isn't TT @ 32. It's two rookies 8 slots higher. Edited September 9, 2015 by PromoTheRobot
Kirby Jackson Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 I wish we had a running QB as bad as Colin Kaepernick. I believe that Tyrod will have a better year than Kaepenick. He was TERRIBLE last year.
BillsFan-4-Ever Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 No. If you value experience and put TT at 32, then Mariota and Winston shouldn't be higher than 31 and 30. My problem isn't TT @ 32. It's two rookies 8 slots higher. I'll say it again stupidity. My comment before were sarcasm. I don't bother much with these predictions / rankings before the season starts and a single game played.
John from Riverside Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 As his agent said on 3 on 30 "Its ok....I like being the underdog" Who cares. We got E.J. if he shitz the bed. I care because people shouldnt be thinking that way
reddogblitz Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 I believe that Tyrod will have a better year than Kaepenick. He was TERRIBLE last year. Oh really? I saw him play some last year and he looked pretty decent. 19 TDs 10 picks 3369 passing 639 running 86.4 rating. Yeah, that sucks. Not setting the world on fire, but far from TERRIBLE IMHO. If Tyrod does that this year we'll be good.

Rob's House Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 I don't have a problem with the list, but I think you could put those listed from 23-32 in any order without losing much credibility.

If that were the case Jimmy Clausen also has boatloads of experience. and its two rookies that were drafted 1 and 2 overall respectively. Would you trade TT for either of them right now? I sure as heck would. So yeh I'd rank them higher right now for a meaningless article.

Taylor has 5 NFL seasons under his belt, 4 with a winning organization. Are you arguing that means less than a rookie just walking into the NFL? Like I said. Being a high pick gets you instant cred with the media, whether you deserve it or not. Edited September 9, 2015 by PromoTheRobot
CardinalScotts Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 not sure how your rate one guy who hasnt played over another guy who hasnt played - just a guess or you put them all tied. Not because of this but I don't care for this website in general. Who is breaking down your offensive line grades ? Does he have any knowledge of offensive lineman their alignment and assignment ? Nope
Ohiostyle Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 But is he "elite"? I want PFF's take on this. Also, Skip Bayless, and Stephen A. Smith will need to weigh in as well. Without their input I won't have talking points at the water cooler.

Take Orton's stats and add 25% (to cover 16 games). I bet they are better than Kaep last year (I didn't check though). Edit: Orton extrapolated over 16 games - 3,773 yards 22.5 TDs 12.5 INT. Hapless Bills Fan Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2015/09/09/ranking-all-32-nfl-starting-qbs/ The main knock? Just 28 regular season snaps. Curiously it's 28 more snaps and four more years experience than #24 Jaimis Winston and #25 Marcus Mariota. Meh. I think his rating system boils down to "I took the PFF number and buggered them until the list matched my viewpoint" I don't understand any actual fact-based system that ranks in rookies. However promising they are, it's really an apples-to-kumquats venture.

Yup - arguing probably bad vs probably not good vs complete unknown (which at nfl levels even the best unknown qbs are unlikely) is splitting hairs really. These lists are often more productive for conversation in groupings instead of straight 1 to 32
