BarleyNY Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 I hate Power Rankings. Cheap way to get clicks. But Scout has the Bills at #9, up from #12 to start the season. http://www.scout.com/nfl/browns/story/1587233-the-obr-nfl-power-rankings-week-one
r00tabaga Posted September 16, 2015 Author Posted September 16, 2015 Win, move up marginally. Lose, drop significantly. I've seen this movie before.
papazoid Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 if bills beat pats, then bills should be highest afc team. i say #3 overall.
Formerly Allan in MD Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 The Washington Post has us at 12 (and they "love" their Redskins at 31).
TheJuice Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 I think we're middle of the pack until we see success consistently against good teams. For all we know, the Colts aren't that great this year. This is a concern of mine. Similar to Chicago last year. I could see Indy blowing up this year. They'll be at least .500 if Luck is playing and they don't change divisions mid-season, but that would be really bad for them. Outside of Luck, Hilton and Davis, I don't see much there.
BarleyNY Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 if bills beat pats, then bills should be highest afc team. i say #3 overall. Depends how they win, but it will be a huge jump up in rankings and expectations from the media at large. That said, the Bills have to win first and they'll have a much, much tougher time than with the Colts. Time to step up.
machine gun kelly Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 I'm fine with #9. I want to be under the radar as long as possible. I could care less about respect. We can get that when we win the SB! Whatever year that is, but hopefully this one.
Kirby Jackson Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 I don't mind anything in the top half of the league. I had an issue with 5-11 predictions (Prisco) or cellar dweller (Barnwell). My issue is that by objectively looking at the situation a 9-7 team improved their backfield, coaching, WR, TE & OL (without mentioning secondary & QB which may both be better). There is no logical reason to think that they will be 3-4 games worse while playing the worst division in football (AFC South) in the crossover.
billsfan89 Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Lower top 10 seems fair. They were an upper middle of the pack team going into the Indy game and with an impressive win against a highly rated Indy team that vaults them into the top 10 of any ranking.
hondo in seattle Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 PFF has us ranked 13th ... in the AFC! Yikes. https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2015/09/09/ranking-every-afc-team-by-projected-finish/# And they had the Colts at #1. Curious how wrong the 'experts' can be.
SouthernMan Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Power Rankings = retarded. There's this dead-on means for determining best teams: win/loss records and playing each other.
Pete Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Power Rankings = retarded. There's this dead-on means for determining best teams: win/loss records and playing each other. I agree. But that is the point. I myself am pointing out the knee jerk, dimwitted, clueless, reactionary , naive experts. We finished 9-7 last year- added Clay, Harvin, McCoy, etc- yet many of these assheads had the Bills at 4-12. This is not your 1984 Bills. I put money in Vegas on this years Bills winning Superbowl. It is just funny seeing these idiot prognosticators do a 180 and eat crow
26CornerBlitz Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Sportsline.com Power Ratings Bills in at #7

Face it: the Bills are just that good.
Canadian Bills Fan Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Lets see if we get dropped down to the bottom now that we have our first loss CBF
BillsFan-4-Ever Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Pete Prisco will drop the Bills to - 23 the others 20ish +/- 1 spot
Canadian Bills Fan Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Pete Prisco will drop the Bills to - 23 the others 20ish +/- 1 spot Sounds about right CBF
bobblehead Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 (edited) Bleacherreport already has thier week 2 rankings out. Kept the Bills at 10, unchanged. Edited September 21, 2015 by bobblehead
major Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 We are the 2nd best team in the afc. We hung with the champs yesterday and should have won, despite all the mistakes. You will see the pats in the afc championship game
