Just Jack Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 My first year playing fantasy, in a 12 team league on Yahoo, the owner set it up for the computer to do the draft, but I can still pick up free agents or trade with other players. What do you guys think of my lineup for week one? QB Ben Roethlisberger Pit WR Amari Cooper Oak WR Vincent Jackson TB RB Matt Forte Chi TE Rob Gronkowski NE W/R Frank Gore Ind Kickers Adam Vinatieri Ind - K Defense/Special Teams Kansas City KC - DEF Bench BN Julian Edelman NE - WR BN Philip Rivers SD - QB BN Roddy White Atl - WR BN Duke Johnson Jr. Cle - RB BN Richard Rodgers GB - TE BN Greg Zuerlein StL - K BN Detroit Det - DEF
gr8billsfan Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 You may want to change V Jax for Edelman but that's a close one. Other than that, I'd only change your Indy players because they're agains the Bills! However that's your best chance for week 1! Good luck

Johnny Hammersticks Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 Your league format is unorthodox. You only start 1 RB? Weird.
CountryCletus Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 Watch the WW, that second kicker is useless along with Rodgers at TE- would be my first two cuts...
Chilly Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 I think your starters are solid but you need to find RB depth.
Dante Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Pro's Big Ben Gronk Edleman Con's Aging backs in new offenses Lack of real decent receivers except for Edleman Outlook In the end the lack of receiver depth and a RB injury will doom this team. My hope is that Gronk makes up for the receiver deficiency. Maybe Cooper has a good year and Duke Johnson becomes something. With a bit of luck maybe you can quote my post and point out how wrong I was!
Mr. McGibblets Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Your league format is unorthodox. You only start 1 RB? Weird. This. Strange active/bench ratio. Still though, you have solid players. As someone else already said, my concern is carrying a second kicker and DEF. I'm hugely biased bc my strategy is to usually stream those two positions, so I only ever carry one of each, and they get flipped almost every week. I'd rather play the favourable match up then look for consistency/depth week-to week at K/DEF. Doing so allows me to have depth at positions where I feel I really need it (WR/RB/TE.) Just my two cents
Just Jack Posted December 16, 2015 Author Posted December 16, 2015 Well I made the playoffs, actually finished 1st in my league. Was rolling over everyone pretty easily till the Gronk and Edelman injuries, but still finished 9-3. So here's my current lineup, I did make some changes during the season... QB Russell Wilson Sea - QB WR Danny Amendola NE - WR WR Jeremy Maclin KC - WR RB Denard Robinson Jax - RB TE Rob Gronkowski NE - TE W/R Amari Cooper Oak - WR K Graham Gano Car - K DEF Denver Den - DEF BN Shaun Draughn SF - RB BN Scott Chandler NE - TE BN Philip Rivers SD - QB BN Charcandrick West KC - RB BN DeSean Jackson Was - WR BN Charles Sims TB - RB BN Baltimore Bal - DEF My next opponent I've beat twice this season, and am currently projected to win again, this is their current roster.... QB Cam Newton Car - QB WR Sammy Watkins Buf - WR WR A.J. Green Cin - WR RB Jonathan Stewart Car - RB TE Coby Fleener Ind - TE W/R David Johnson Ari - RB K Blair Walsh Min - K DEF St. Louis StL - DEF BN Brandin Cooks NO - WR BN Stevie Johnson SD - WR BN Dez Bryant Dal - WR BN Derek Carr Oak - QB BN Tim Hightower NO - RB BN Doug Baldwin Sea - WR BN Green Bay GB - DEF Anything you see that I should be wary of, or any changes that I may want to consider?
Canadian Bills Fan Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 Great lineup! It may be tough for you this week! What kind of scoring system is your league? CBF
KD in CA Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 Isn't Jonathan Stewart hurt? I don't think he's playing this week which would be a nice break for you. You should probably grab his backup on waivers to block your opponent.
Just Jack Posted December 29, 2015 Author Posted December 29, 2015 Sigh. it looked good in Week 15 that I could get by my opponent but they played a couple players that just exploded for points. Then week 16, same thing, ended up 4th overall, out of the money. But I'll still play next year I think.
What a Tuel Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 (edited) Out of my 5 leagues, I think this is the one I am most proud of. QB Bortles RB Doug Martin RB Matt Forte WR Antonio Brown WR Mohamed Sanu TE Martellus Bennett FLEX Kelvin Benjamin D Jets K Carpenter Bench Jamaal Charles Tyler Eifert Justin Forsett Matt Ryan Kamar Aiken On another note: Forsett went undrafted as a result of his Raven release, but he resigned today. Do I drop Hogan, or Sproles to pick him up in another league? Edited September 5, 2016 by What a Tuel
