WHAT, pray tell, makes you think the Pats** weren't cheating last year? It's WHAT they DO, it's WHO they ARE. There needs to be lifetime bans on the entire staff to clean house there.

I leave that one out because no one has raised that suspicion...yet. Besides, it was a gift win from Pete to Bill.

here are my takeaways after reading through the ESPN & Boston Globe pieces:

1) everyone should read Dan O'Shaughnessy's Boston Globe piece on Ernie Adams; it has a netherworldly aura which indicts the uber secret inner workings of the Pats;

2) It reinforces my utter belief that the NFL is about the almighty dollar and winning at all costs; how anyone can confidently make money on NFL betting is beyond me

3) behind the sanctimonious front offered by Bob Kraft, I seriously question his ethics/integrity by having Belichick as his coach.

4) since Goodell was emasculated by the judge's ruling in nullifying Brady's suspension, the only way to properly move forward with further action on the Patriots is through Congressional oversight. I believe no one currently is taking that position since Arlen Spector's involvement before he died.

5) I wonder what in the hell the other owners are thinking, and if one or more of them are even considering taking action.

Is this the article you're referring to? https://www.bostonglobe.com/sports/2015/01/29/mysterious-ernie-adams-patriots-man-behind-curtain/IrNCfgrysUphGpkcIjEaBL/story.html

How is it that Robert Kraft remains one of 3 owners that determine Goodell;s salary, given the previous history of RK and the pats organization? And Goodell is expected to be impartial when investigating the holder of the purse strings. Lots of luck!

Corecting thuh grammer annd speling errers ohn thiss bord wood bee uh phull thyme jobb.

What I don't want to see is the Bills winning the Super Bowl. As long as I'm alive, that doesn't happen.

I don't think so BC. The ESPN Outside the Lines story was likely months in the making, probably going back to the first whispers of Deflategate, maybe longer. The timing is suspect, but it's likely that with the Brady dismissal, ESPN decided that now was the time to strike with the story. Good for them for throwing back the shabby curtain on the Cheats "dynasty".

The investigation has been going on for nine months. They've had PLENTY of time to prepare the story and release it "when the time is right."

I've done this kind of **** for a living...for Chicago politicians. Not to lord it over the board...but trust me on this.

I agree, but the story would have run if the suspension had been upheld by the judge too.

Likely in some iteration.

A big tip-off is its release immediately following a holiday weekend, just as everyone is getting back to work. I guarantee you there are metrics showing the likelihood of increased media consumption right in the window when this stuff was embargoed for--er, released.

totally agree - everyone is back and work and lamenting the fact, and this is the sort of thing they'll instinctively read.

They were cheating. They will always cheat until the entire staff is cleaned out from top to bottom. They were deflating footballs since 2007 for God's sake. They didn't all of a sudden decide to deflate balls but not touch anything else.

Yep. I was remiss in omitting that part. You know, the whole "football" side of it.

Let's not forget that SI also pubilshed a major story today too.

Yeah, that was first tip off. ONE national outlet, and may be they're working on their own. TWO? With some, but not total demo crossover, that's a coordinated attack.

This just confirmed all that anyone with half a brain and no bias saw. You don't destroy evidence if there is nothing suspicious going on. Also it was clear the Goodell Craft connection played a key role in the sweeping it under the rug nature of the Spygate punishment and investigation process. The Pats* built a dynasty off a great defense and an offense with a late game edge based off of cheating. The notion of the Pats* bugging locker rooms and stealing things from opponents locker rooms and even hotel rooms along with jamming headsets all give off a stench that goes far beyond illegal angles of cameras. The Pats* are a sham always have been always will be. Their coach is a Nixonian sociopath and their fan base is in far too deep to realize and admit it.
